The father's schoolhouse is not so bad. We take it bad because it hurts at the time but what circumstances and situations do is get our attention. It really is simply as that. If our father could get our attention by making us millionaire's, then we would all be millionaire's. But it doesn't work like that in the world. Circumstances and situations get our attention. That is what he is doing in the world with his training ground (the world). Trying to get us to see something in creation..to come to see what he has done before creation, as well as after creation! Why is that, what is it a believer can come to see?
Believers come to see the plan and purpose of God before the foundation of the world - and through creation he is working out his plan on a daily basis!
When you see the Glory of God written, most of the time it is making reference to the plan and purpose of God. A very good example of that is in, Romans 8, that has stuck out to me through the years.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. - Romans 8:18.
I knew there was something there but it took awhile for the Holy Spirit to teach me what it was saying. What shall be revealed? the Glory of God - which is Christ in you the hope of glory! Colossians 1:27. The ultimate of God's plan and purpose hinges on Christ - in Christ - in Christ revelation (the Holy Spirit teaching you the Christ in you) - Christ revealed in the believer - nothing else matters in this world. Christ in you is the plan and purpose of God. It that were the case I should spend most of my waking moments learning about that. There is nothing else to know! the plan and purpose of God revealed in the believer is all the answer you can ever get out of scripture and that never changes, never looses power, it is the only hope there is - and it is the weight of all scripture.
Of coarse that may not mean what it use to because; use to in the study of the word of God, you had to study based on weight of scripture and if you got off of that it was understood it was just for a searching and looking at different things.. not trying to build some doctrine and coming up with a better idea. You seached the scriptures with the understanding nothing could be found outside of Christ - everything and everywhere you went in scripture you had a knowledge that was based on a new knowledge.. a new understanding of being born again. Not fixing the old - not trying to fit other's in scripture - not trying to be an adopted Jew - we were our own race of people - the new creation race of people - if you will. We had our own message and Israel did not fit us - but today there is such an attraction to be something you are not.
It has always been like that in scripture - men trying to be something they're not. It is a humanity thing. It is more than that ..it is a fallen thing - that knowledge that pulls down instead of lifting up. The knowledge of good and evil is always a downward motivation..not unlike gravity!
