4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. - Romans 7:4.

Believers have a union relationship just like any marriage that is in union. But NOT all marriages are in union (that is just in mind for a believer) in love or expression. It may be on that paper and by law but NO-union. Union is the two are joined together with the purpose of that union - not just existing as union. As in marriage, a believer will want to put effort into what they know to be good and live out that knowledge of union.

Example; husband and wives know each other well - what they can do, as part of their individual union is; know the likes and dislikes, because compromise goes along way in a marriage of - a man and a woman. Such as when you know your wife likes to plant flowers or shop :) an effort can be made to do things your wife likes to do even if you don't like to do it. And wives the same. That is known as compromise in union. We can take that further and say; husbands and wives need to see Christ in each other. Because that's true - that is a truth - that is absolutely the truth of union. You know in whom you believed and life expression always starts at home.

Pauls uses the word "crucified" to describe the union between the believer and Christ. Such as "it is no longer I that lives but Christ lives in me Paul said." Where is the compromise in that? believers are not going to live Christ a hundred percent of the time - it is not possible. But what they can do by knowledge of union is; by knowledge they know now for them 'to live is Christ' (that is what Paul's sound instruction has to say about union) and allow Christ to be expressed by their creation (allow this mind to be in you). That is where you find out you have no life of your own - and you are crucified with Christ by being in Christ (Christ life knowledge) and a wonderful marriage union relationship is taking place and it "is your reasonable service" to allow that to happen. You work it out - the scriptures give you plenty of details on how this union life is to be lived - it is not by an old man mind of no knowledge but by union love relationship - the two have become one. Not only in spirit but mind as well. Renewing the mind is the answer after salvation because there is no Christianity without your mind - at least not in expression. Christ is alive in every believer - not every believer is alive in Christ not without mind knowledge, training, understanding, and so forth - renewal the scriptures call it.

in this union you learn old union. That means you can see now why you were who you were by the old man. We had no knowledge of the old man whe we were in him - but by union knowledge now you know. Of coarse our wonderful Apostle Paul gives the understanding of the old man. That is what Romans 7 is all about. He so elegantly said:

17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. - Romans 7:17.

Bless you.
