A dream and a vision of Elijah's Cave. Opening with the scripture....
The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. - Proverbs 14:10
This year has been a year of miss-steps in which I know within my heart I could have done a lot better had I played the situations better. I think this is true for every human being. There are times when we have let good opportunities slip through our fingers and it is aggravating when these things happen. And it is also aggravating when fellow Christians do not accept us as part of the club for not being on their level for one reason or another. There are comparison games that go on in church that cause one to feel bad for not having what others have. When in reality we should feel blessed simply by being awakened to have seen another day.
A dream and a vision. The actual dream of Elijah's Cave...
8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah? - 1 Kings 19
I am currently at Myrtle Beach to get away and it was nice to have had a few days at the beach. I dreamt I was at work and that Elijah's cave was actually opened before me. I looked in and saw the place in its full scale myself. In doing so it was like a heaviness departed from my mind and spirit and I thought to myself... Oh my! I have gotten opportunity to meet God for myself just like Elijah did! And I woke up incredibly refreshed. On awaking the following scripture came to mind...
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. - Isaiah 55:6
