Hello
No they are both true for Israel.
Israel does not get eternal life by the law keeping any more than we do. They get eternal life by faith in Christ. They get to enter the kingdom and reign with Christ by keeping the law. That is what the new testament is, God does what Israel can not do by itself; the new testament provides cleansing and the power to keep the commandments to be righteous to enter the kingdom. If they do not keep the commandments they do not go to hell, they are saved, but do not get the kingdom.

You are confused.

By your saying, "They get to enter the kingdom and reign with Christ by keeping the law," you are essentially saying salvation by the law. There is no salvation by law keeping. What can come by keeping Christ's commandments is rewards, but His Salvation only can come by Faith.

Hello

Israel had to be righteous to enter the earthly Davidic kingdom.

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20

You are getting some things mixed up here. There are 2 biblical standards....one is holiness and the other is righteousness. I'll stop there and let you do the study.

The calling of saints in glory is to holiness. The calling of the saved (but not saints)...the minimum standard....is righteousness.

These are constants.

If one believes on Jesus, then they will have works in Him. But those works aren't what saves them. So those who have evil works, reveal they don't truly believe on Jesus, and really are not in His fold (can't get good fruit off an evil tree). Anyone can claim to believe on Jesus, but those who truly do, their works follow them to Heaven.
