We have been running a semi socialist federal government since the time of FDR. Let us look at some of the results:
1. a $27.2 trillion dollar national debt. that works out to $215,000/taxpayer
2. state and local debt at $3.3 trillion . that is a little over $10,000/taxpayer
3. Including armed forces we have 23,852,000 govt workers
4. the federal govt has an unfunded liability of $155.2 trillion dollars or $470,000/citizen
5. Past fiscal year we paid $381,000,000,000 on the federal debt. that is the largest spending amount after Medicare, social security and defense.
6. Medicare (1) Social Security (2) defense (3) debt payment (4) total of $3.57 trillion of the national budget.
7. OUr government has intentionally devalued the US Dollar. in 1900 a $20 bill =$20 gold piece and you could buy a fine tailored suit with either. Today, you can still buy a fine tailored suit with a $20 gold pice, but it would take close to $1,600 US dollars to buy that suit.
