What Church is Jesus Building?

Can any man-instituted church claim to be the church that Jesus is building? Where is the church that is growing into the full stature of Christ? Join me as we take a deeper look at what it takes to come under the direct Headship of Christ and become the church that Jesus is building rather than merely attending an institution that purports to be of Christ.

The "Saul" church reference is classic. (lol) First time I have heard that analogy. I see such a church as bound by the doctrine of the Nicolaitans with their laity/clergy hierarchy that starves the people from the words of Jesus. We need Jonathans who can find the honey and be enlightened by it

Eph 1:18-23 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.


What does it means to be "in the name of". God's name isn't some magical formula to chant and get things done. It is more like a soldier pounding on the door saying "in the name of the King" because he has the authority. A prayer is in the name of God simply because it is his will. There is no need to stamp an ending "in the name of" onto such a prayer. It is by it's very nature, in his name because it is according to his will. You can tack "in the name of" on the ending of any prayer you like but it accomplishes nothing if not God's will. This is something many don't grasp.

I did an article on what God is building as opposed to men. I'm sure a lot can be added to it but it does scratch the surface. I did this years ago but for some reason it has popped up again.

The church of God is a spiritual fellowship in one Body by the Spirit. The enemy will do everything in his power to stop God's people from coming together by the faith OF Christ and advancing into a spiritual maturity that overthrows his dominion over the world...and the churches.

The church that Jesus is building is remarked by it's refusal to accept limits. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
