I think the shroud of Turin being called the shroud of Jesus is a Hoax.

Jesus was removed from the cross, covered in blood, severely beaten, likely swollen, and carried about 150 yards to A Tomb owned by Joseph of Anathema ( a Sanhedrin believer in Jesus the Christ ).

The shroud used for Jesus would have been wrapped around His Body, NOT COVERING HIS FACE.
A certain man had brought SOME bags of spices.

A shroud would be bound with Strips of Fabric to secure the shroud around the Body.
The spices would be tucked under the strips, to minimize smell of a dead body.

A NAPKIN would be Laid over His Face.
Because the Time-Frame was Urgent (placing Him in the Tomb Before Sundown…per Jewish Religious Tradition)
And
The consideration of the Sabbath(S)…
Preparation day, for The Feast of Unleavened Bread…and Weekly Sabbath…

Typically, the body would by washed…and Anointed with oil… before wrapping and adding spices.

After the Sabbath(S), women returned with more spices….
But discovered the Tomb was Empty…
And a Bright Visible Figure Spoke to the women.

Inspection of the empty tomb…revealed the shroud laying where Jesus’ body was placed…
And…the Napkin?

[7] And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

The shroud of Turin is a face shown on the Shroud, Not a separate Napkin!

Jesus was already anointed …separate occasions…
* First by God, when He was sent to Earth from Heaven.
* next by a woman in Simon the Pharisees’ house.
* next by a woman in Simon the Lepers’ house in Bethany.

Side note… per etiquette…when men dine and have servants delivering their meal before them at a table… if the one being served, (for whatever reason gets up and leaves his place and any portion of food on his plate…)
Notice for the server TO NOT REMOVE the plate…
Is signaled, by “the Napkin”!
If the Napkin is neatly Folder Laying beside the plate by itself…
The signal IS the user of THAT Napkin… is revealing HE SHALL RETURN to that place.

Jesus’ folded Face Napkin, laid aside in the Tomb… folded neatly, by itself… IS THE Highlight Discovered by they who inspected Jesus’ Tomb…
He Shall Return.

The highlight is NOT some shroud falsely displayed and touted as having the image of Jesus.

When every eye shall see Him.
He shall appear in the Body God Prepared in the Likeness AS a man, sitting on a White Cloud…. Long before He sets foot on Earth … literal Return.

The Napkin is supposedly in Spain.
Never have seen a photo, nor does it seem to be mentioned with the shroud.

The Napkin… only recently have I heard a bit of chatter about that online.

Saw info about that decades ago online and in books.

Fabric appears to be authentically ancient, supposed to be at least 8 centuries old.

It suffered some damage during a fire.

It has had new stitching repairs added in some places.

It has been dusted, for preservation.

Testing of parts of the fabric has purported paint, fruit dyes.

A Bishop of over a century ago challenged it, called it a fake to associate with Jesus.

The Catholic Church is silent, whether or not it’s was used for Jesus.

I have never heard a spirit speak in an audible voice.

What is the Importance or Significance of Jesus supposedly telling you that was His burial cloth?

Nothing "supposedly" about it. I asked Jesus if that was Him and He said Yes then I saw a vision of Him. I saw Jesus' earthly face and it was just like the Shroud.
