Well, Jesus came and died on the cross so as to give us eternal life, first and foremost. When we accept Jesus as Savior we are included into His Family, by adoption and there is nothing you can do or not do to lose your salvation in Him. The blood of Jesus covers all sins, past, present and future. We can lose ground in our fellowship with God but never our relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit will never leave you. Rather, He will convict, sanctify and teach you the things of God.
