The other night I had a dream about the spirit. It started as thinking about the words; belief, faith, trust, and confidence. Of course each of these words can be used to define the others. They all mean the same thing.

In conclusion; walking in the spirit is walking in belief, faith, trust, and confidence in what Jesus did on the cross.

This reminds me of the prophets of old doing some pretty weird stuff under the direction of the Spirit. Such as when Ezekiel laid on his left side for 390 days. Application: It can be pretty hard to judge someone's motives when they walk in the spirit. That is because they did what God tells them, and not their own will.

Galatian 5 talks about walking in the spirit while 2 cor 5:7 talks about walking by faith not by sight. Question is whether they (walking by faith and walking by the spirit) are the same thing. Perhaps they aren't but when you walk by one, you at the same time walk by/in the other.H. Richard said:

What other way is there of showing faith? If you walk in the Spirit, you can't help but do 'good works'.FHII said:

Most do not know that Jesus's shed blood has already paid for the sins of the whole world. But if you don't believe it then the blood is not applied and the person is still under the condemnation of their sins.

You don't have to show your faith to anyone Deborah. Its something God sees and no one else matters.Deborah_ said:

People can smell hypocrisy from a mile away. If the Holy Spirit is convicting someone of their sin, he may also give decernment that you are a hypocrite because you do not practice what you preach. So you have placed a stumbling block before them. Romans 2:24
