What is a person that believes in God?
01-28-2012
I once believe the Truth was the Church that I was raised in and than I believe it was in the Way ministry and I tried Spirit and Truth Fellowship International and others. But I found no truth at all because I was not looking at the Christ inside of me the heart of my spirit God himself. You see God creative everything from himself otherwise I had it all alone the oneness of my inner thought which my inner self of Christ.

The Way Ministry taught me about spirit and that Christ was in me, which is the hope of glory but that only the beginning to discovering the truth that was in a place I never dream. So I give credit to the Way Ministry for the direction they gave and all the others that try to point me in right direction. I am that person that believes a God that in my heart there nothing to prove me right or wrong because I believe by own unbelief.

One thinks why would I say I believe because of my unbelief because if a person does not get honest about him-self how can that have any truth belief in God. I know from my five senses God cannot be real but I know by inner self that is everything and nothing. My heart tells me Christ is real because I see his love in people all around me, which means, God must be real too.

When we get honest about our deep down feeling we know we have unbelief even that we do not want to face it. So God creative d us from what himself making sin a part of God, which is why God had no choice to make a way for making a way for God cleanse his self of our sin. Is God sin no but God has to deal with us a part of him that must return one day as we must return dust that returns to God him-self.

I see myself as the broken Man I am which all the hang up of my past and future I will have some day but for now I am trying to be more honest with everybody. Because with truth I will free myself from this unbelief I must live because everyone that claims they have no unbelief is a lie and there is no truth in them. Otherwise Christ die for them in vain because Christ for us all I do not know if that voids out God gift of Christ but I hope not,

Sin is my unbelief that I hide from most until now just how I lust after sex that I do not want to have but its part of me. The part of me I wish one know but in uncovering the lie I hide from myself I can face it the first step to making it in past or putting my unbelief in the open can make me believe stronger than before or making a invisible God visible. Thank you with Love of truth and a holy kiss of Christ to all from Roy.

Hi year2027!

I will think that I understand what you are meaning...please clarify if I have this wrong.
When we first became believers by faith and received Jesus as Lord of our lives, he washed away our past sins. Ephesians 1:7 These sins were those that were inherited from the original fall and also from our own personal lives as unbelievers, up to the point of receiving that free gift of salvation.

As new believers, the bible says, we are then given the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38, Ephesians 1:13, 14, John 16:7
The Holy Spirit then helps us through a process of sanctification. This process is on-going and something that all believers must go through so that we can put off our former self, which we once walked and lived while in the world and walk in the newness of our minds...which is in Jesus.

Ephesians 4
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

This does not mean that we do not struggle with some things because although we are no-loner of this world...we still live in it and are tempted just like everyone else.

1 Corinthians 10
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Jesus has also not left us alone to struggle against the temptations of sin but has sent the Holy Spirit to help us...

Galatians 5
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

These inner battles are not always internal [soulish struggles]...sometimes they can come from outside influences.

Ephesians 6
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

If we fail in an area that we struggle with and sin, God has made a way for us through his Son so that we can be forgiven when we repent from the heart and continue on that pathway of the upward calling in Jesus...

1 John
2 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

I hope this helps...bless you!!! :)

There are many that "believe IN God." Every religion believes IN a god.

But there are few that "Believe God" and take Him at His word.

1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

It is easy to believe God when it suits our way of thinking....but to actually believe God??? You fail your own test.

There you go again with your accussations about me. I made none about you. Why do you insist on trying to prevoke me to anger.

So here we go again. If what you say is true, that if a person commits a sin, then they don't know Jesus, then no one knows Jesus because all men sin in the flesh. Yes Episkopos you sin too.

How do we really abide "in Him"? To you it is not sinning but scripturally is is by keeping your belief, faith, trust, and confidence in His work on the cross. But you refuse to believe this and therefore you don't really know Him.

Romans 4:5-8
5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,
6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
7 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin."
NKJV

If you didn't claim things falsely I would not point these out.

This is what the word says...whosoever sinneth hath not seen him. How can we sin who are dead to sin?

You continue to sin? Then you don't know Him!

All men HAVE sinned. But we walk by grace so as to NOT sin. That is the gospel...the victory over sin through Christ strengthening us to overcome all sin. Not God's blndness to sin as you espouse.

Stop mocking God and the truth. We are not cleansed from ALL unrighteousness to throw ourselves in the mud. Only pigs and dogs return to their old ways. A new creature in Christ does not do this. Or if he does...he should stop and turn to Christ.

To you they are false. That does not make them false.

Obviously, and everyone should see this, you think that anyone who does not believe what you believe is believing a false doctrine. Well welcome to the forum Episkopos because there are many on this forum who do not believe what you say either.

But they don't stoop to the level you do.

You are equating the truth to a theory. I am exposing your theory to the truth.

You ae correct. Even Satan and his horde believe in God. It's Jesus that is the Way to God. whena person says he or she believes in God, that is no qualifier of anything, but when he or she claims faith in Jesus Christ, then I know we are onto more solid ground.

If you wish to make a point, then please create another thread....this brother needs our support not more condemnation. Please stick to the OP...or do not contribute at all...[btw: we are not all naive into believing that we are not saved because we did not take him at his word. The Holy Spirit is our seal of approval not what others think...something that other religions will never have because that same "Spirit" who hovered over the waters in the beginning, who also raised Jesus from the dead, comes to dwell and abide in those who believe [his word] and have received that free gift of salvation [by faith]

Thanks

Faith is referred to as a shield. Ephesians 6:16
13 take up the armor.
14 breastplate.
17 a helmet and the sword.

Faith alone ?
A free gift yes but one has to pick it up as the Spirit is the one who gives it and we have to abide in the Holy Spirit as it can grow in us as it is not a one off thing at all.
We should put on the armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil.

The armor, is Spiritual Armor is it not ? So the works can only be Spiritual in Christ.
Our own works can't cut it at all as it's about opposing the work of Satan.
We have a new life in Christ now as he is our Lord and Saviour.
If you pray to Jesus that is a work.
Spreading the gospel that is a work.
