Continued From Seek Ye First The Kingdom Of God:

What Is The Kingdom Of God? 1. The kingdom of God is God’s reign — his sovereign action in the world to redeem and deliver a people and then at a future time finish it and renew his people and the universe completely. 2. More narrowly, the kingdom of God is a spiritual rule over the hearts and lives of those who willingly submit to God’s authority. Those who defy God’s authority and refuse to submit to Him are not part of the kingdom of God; in contrast, those who acknowledge the lordship of Christ and gladly surrender to God’s rule in their hearts are part of the kingdom of God.

In essence, Jesus was cautioning us not to worry about these human concerns and to instead place our greatest priority on seeking God’s Kingdom.

Daniel 2:44 English Standard Version (ESV). 44 And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever,

Philippians 4:19 19And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

We need to be careful that we do not misrepresent the Kingdom of God. While it is not physical, visible, and tangible right now, that does not mean that this will be the state of affairs in the future. Indeed, in the relatively near future, the world will see the Second Coming of Christ and the establishment of His Kingdom on earth as prophesied (words capitalized as needed). [Note: "the clouds of Heaven" is a metaphor for the multitude of saints and angels which surround Christ at His coming. They give the appearance of clouds]

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of Man [God the Son] came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days [God the Father], and they brought Him [the Son] near before Him [the Father]. And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (Dan 7:13,14)

There are numerous Bible prophecies which describe this Kingdom on earth, and how Christ will reign and bring about everlasting peace and righteousness.

Isaiah 40:10-11 10See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. 11He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
