I used the NASB. In learning about it I have found that it has the closest translations to the original texts and does not "flower-up" or add/change material like the NIV.

It is really shocking to see sometimes how different that translations can be for a specific scripture.

Poor translations like the KSV, NIV, any of the Catholic ones, NLT, etc... Vary greatly.

But accurate translations like the NASB and ESV you'd be surprised how similar they are usually.
You might give the ESV a shot... Accuracy of the NASB but easier to read.

Accurate and easy to read, there's nothing else you could ask for.
