You should probably try reading the book again a few times. Elihu said that Job justified himself instead of justifying God, this is true and is what self righteousness is. Elihu was not one of Job's 3 friends, but someone who isn't mentioned at all, until he speaks. Elihu is never corrected or rebuked in the book of Job. If Job did indeed write the book of Job, then Job did indeed confess his own sin of self righteousness, of justifying himself instead of justifying God.
Lets really get down to business. Are you justified? That is, have you been accounted as righteous before God? Was it for anything that you've ever done in your lifetime, and if not, why or how are you justified?
Job had not done anything wrong in Gods sight. Job didn't understand being tested, Since it had not been introduced to this point in creation. Being tested was introduced In Job so that it would be understood at the coming of Christ. Christ was the truly tried stone the chief corner stone who God laid in Zion.

That's okay, some day you'll get it.

lol

you guys are so concerned about defending God's soveriegnty that you are willinging to damn Job.

'Humanity is sinful and God is all powerful so Job must be guilty and therefore deserve God's wrath'

Nevermind the point of the story is that Job, a righteous man remained loyal to God, despite mistreatment. Forget the fact that his friends falsely attributed personal sin to Job......which was never justified.

The point of this inspired myth is that hardship falls on the righteous and the sinners equally. it is an answer to hardship in ALL of our lives.

Please stop playing the role of Job's friends.

Just curious, but why do you think that the book is "inspired myth?" Do you believe other scripture to be myth? If so, what is the basis of your authority (that is why should I or anyone else for that matter believe anything that you say?) My only authority is scripture, my belief in it is the testimony of His Spirit within me, so who exactly is it that is telling you that the scripture contains "myth" inspired or other wise?

i would hope no one would think job was sinless.. God justifies the ungodly that includes Job

God was definetly teaching job-----------------THIS ---------------- TO waite "patiently" ON the Lord;

God does every thing for the good of those that love him .. WE MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND THIS ON THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN YET ITS TRUE ..

sure God was training Job to trust him EVEN MORE ,, WHEN God TOOK THINGS jOB LOVED AWAY .. yet God eventualy gave job even more than he had before. we humans get all flustered over God taking people out of this life of tears .. Not even realizing what awaits believers is so so very much better than here.. we could never even begain to discribe it.. yet when we are honest it would be selfish of us to want a loved one back when they are enjoying heaven and their savior Jesus..

and if God so desires he could kill all the belieivers in less than a second and bring them back to life just as easly ON THIS EARTH

or bring them to heavenLY JOY .SO MUCH better .

God is not like his creatures who take lifes and have no power to give life back even more abundently ..

God is the creator of all things.. and God had some very important lessons to teach his servant job About trusting in him and the rewards faith in God eventualy brings ..GOD DELIVERS ALL WHO LOVE HIM OUT OF DISASTERS... THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS OR IN jOBS CASE FATH IN THE PROMISE OF JESUS TO COME AND DIE FOR HIS SINS TO..
