I suppose that my life would have to be a testimony of what God can do and present them with the evidence or present someone else's
life that was in the same scenario as they are and show them what Christ did for them ... in short I would be giving them hope.
If God did it for me or so and so, then God can do it for you as well.
Examples from my own life;
I was in my late twenties, no education to boast about, no friends, no money, hunted by the law, drug addict, loser, violent, no hope,
no future.
I called on Christ to save me and give me a hope.
He responded, by filling me with his Holy spirit one afternoon in my bedroom, it felt like rain falling through my ceiling.
Then I spoke to him about my past and decided to clear things with the law ... I walked into their offices expecting nothing but prison
time.
Within 2 hours I was set free and told to go home ... Jesus gave me a brand new start.
My Pastor lambasted the men one day telling them to get off their lazy rear ends and go find a job because the wives were complaining.
He said God was not going to drop a job into our laps.
I got real angry with that and said to myself that God would bring a job to me because I had no education so where was I supposed to go ?
Three weeks or so later a man came to the church offering a job and gave his number to the pastor who gave it out to about 20 guys
one evening at a prayer meeting, myself included ... I phoned him the next day and asked if anyone else had contacted him, he said no.
Then he told me to come and see him and so I did ... 10 minutes later I got the job.
God dropped a job into my lap !
At my second job, my boss told me he would give me shares in the business but as the years went on he forgot about his promise.
He then told me he is selling the business to a friend ... I prayed about it and God answered me by causing his friend to decline to buy
the business.
He then got another guy in who took over the business for three months and month after month the turnover went up and up and so he
increased the price to the guy month by month.
I prayed everyday and eventually the guy had enough and backed out.
I then approached him to sell me the business but he said that I needed a business education and guess what, he paid for it ... so off I went to
business college and flunked.
I told him I would do it again ... he said that I would NEVER be able to do all the courses and examinations in one year, that it was too much.
I said no, I could, so I studied again, and prayed and prayed and prayed.
When I went to write the exams and they asked me the exact questions I had studied ... I passed everything.
Then he said I would need the money for my overheads for the first month and he couldn't help me.
So off I went to bank after bank with a two inch thick bundle of paperwork ... they all turned me down.
So I prayed and prayed and prayed.
Then I got a call from him one afternoon ... he said he would give me the money ... praise God.
The following month I started off the business under my name ... glory be to Jesus.
Oh, before this I prayed for a wife and was turned by God, he said I needed a job first.
So after I got this second job which payed me a better salary I prayed again ... God manifested himself to me in the storeroom
and dropped a picture slide into my mind of the woman I was to marry.
I knew her from church but never had an interest in her, well now things were different, she was to be my wife.
So I went out on a date with her and by the end of the day I was totally nuts over her and three months later we got married.
I never had money for a ring so out of the blue my boss gave me a couple of thousand for a wedding ring ... did I say thank you Jesus ?
Thank you Lord, with all my heart.
I could go on and on ... it's the testimony of the power of God that makes all the difference.
Lastly, my wife and I got into a serious argument and the word divorce was thrown around and we were headed for the courts.
so I prayed again and again and at a sunday service my pastor during his preaching called me by name - twice - and said that God was
going to bring a turn around in my life.
Not a week later, my wife and I began speaking again and now we're on the road to recovery ... did I say thank you Jesus ?
Thank you Lord with all my heart.
I love you Jesus you are my rock, my strong tower, my great reward, my life is in your hands.
I have a testimony, I have Christ.
