The Bible says,

"How you have fallen from heaven, Morning Star..." (Isaiah 14:12, "Morning Star" = Hebrew הילל) .

"Morning star" presumably refers to the planet Venus, beautifully bright over the eastern horizon in the morning.

The ancients thought the 9 planets were stars, hence the Bible refers to "wandering stars" (Jude 13). In fact stars are stationary, planets wander.

<demon possession not in Old Testament>

IMO:
"Demons" are fallen angels that joined Satan in his rebellion against God.

Ezekiel 28:11-19 is a polemic against the King of Tyre, and also against his advocate Lucifer (a.k.a. Satan) who had been "cast down to earth."

The true temple is “not made with hands”, William.

John 2:18-22....
“So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.” (ESV)

What then was “the temple of his body”? It was not a physical body, but a spiritual one.

Paul confirmed that this was no earthly temple....
“Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. (ESV)

There is no need of another physical temple, as the heavenly one is indestructible and the ones serving there will never die.

This prophesy of Malachi was referenced by Jesus himself, identifying the one spoken about...

Matt 11:7-14...
“As they went away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? What then did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses. What then did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is he of whom it is written,“‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’ Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John, and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.” (ESV)

Why could Jesus say that about John B? How could John be ‘greater than any human born of women’, and yet be inferior to one who is least in the Kingdom of heaven?

The Bible answers these questions, but if you ask anyone in Christendom for those answers, all you will hear is ...*crickets*...No one has to say....”I think it means this or that” because the Bible answers for itself without contradiction.
No one simply reading the Bible will come to the correct conclusions, because we have to study it to unlock the truth.....Jesus said it’s like “hidden treasure” that requires effort to dig and bring to the surface....most people are either too lazy, or convinced that you need a degree in theology to understand it. Not so....none of the 12 apostles were educated men and this was used by the Pharisees to imply their inferiority.

Like God’s ancient servants, both Jewish and Christian....you just have to have the right teachers....and you will be horribly misled if you have the wrong ones......but don’t expect them to be scholars or to have degrees after their name......they will be a hated minority, quietly doing as Christ instructed.

The Master gave this warning....
John 15:18-21...
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.” (ESV)

The majority would reject his messengers, just as they rejected him....but some would listen despite the hateful things said about them. (Matt 5:11-12; Matt 7:13-14)
The Jewish temple was a proxy for the Presence of God.

The Holy Spirit dwells within believers (1Corinthians 3:16).

The fact that demon-possession was introduced during Jesus' lifetime and never in the OT, tells us that the fallen angels, the minions of Satan, were cast down to earth not long after Jesus' birth.
The serpent that deceived Eve was motivated by Satan, who had been cast from heaven to earth (Revelation 12:9).

o. Satan was cast down in the early history of the earth, and he tempted Eve to sin (Genesis 3:1-7, Revelation 20:1-3).

o. Satan currently roams the earth (1Peter 5:8).

Satan still operates in Heaven. His appearing before God's Throne in Heaven during the time of Job is proof of this. And the time of Job was long after... his original fall.

Because Revelation 12:7 forward says he will no longer accuse us before God's Throne day and night, means he will literally be cast out of the Heavenly dimension down to this earth in OUR earthly dimension. At that point he will not be allowed back in Heaven.

And because God's Word reveals that angels can manifest upon this earth without the need of a flesh body, reveals that Satan doesn't need flesh to appear on earth in our dimension either. He is coming to earth, in our earthly dimension, in plain sight, along with his angels. And he will be disguised as an angel of light, and his angels as the ministers of righteousness (2 Corinthians 11).

Satan was... "that old serpent", as Revelation 12:9 does declare.

The serpent idea in Genesis 3 is a euphemism.

Bible notes:
<Evil spirit provoked King Saul>. (1Samuel 16:14, 18:10, 19:9)

Once again: IMO these "spirits" are fallen angels, they were here before the universe was created (Job 38:7).

Wow.."....so many differing opinions about what hell is....where hell is...and more importantly what hell meant to a Jew.

How did the Jews understand “hell” (hades) as opposed to “Gehenna” (reference to the Valley of Hinnom which had a nasty history for ancient Israel as the place just outside the walls of the city, where apostate Israel sacrificed their children in the fire to the false god Molech.)

These were two vastly different concepts.....”hades” was simply the equivalent of the Hebrew “Sheol” which in the Jewish Tanakh is translated as “the grave”....which is the place where all the dead go.....those “sleeping in death” do so in the grave. There is no conscious existence there. (Eccl 9:5, 10; Psalm 115:17)

Gehenna OTOH meant something else entirely......Gehenna was a place where the wicked were consigned.
The symbolism came from the fire that was burning constantly because the valley was converted to a garbage dump at God’s command. He put a stop to child sacrifice, as it was abhorrent to him. (Jer 7:31)

Those not considered worthy of a decent burial were cast into “Gehenna” for disposal, like so much garbage.
Without a Memorial tomb inscribed with their name and family lineage, the Jews considered them also unworthy of a resurrection. So consigning someone to Gehenna simply meant eternal death, not eternal suffering. If God said that putting their own children into a fire was abhorrent to him, then why would he do that to his own children....he is not a sadist.

The rich man and Lazarus is a parable, not a true story. Hades to a Jews did not involve being alive somewhere else whilst the body was in the grave.....the living body was a soul......it simply means a “breather”. Adam “became” a soul when God started him breathing.....when he ceased to breathe, the soul Adam, died. (Ezekiel 18:4) Souls are mortal, not immortal.
Gehenna (Hebrew גיא בן-הנם, "Valley of Hinnom") is a place of divine punishment in Jewish eschatology.

Lot of old Jewish traditions in that above.

There is no one asleep in the grave. That's an old Jewish tradition by those back in Old Testament times that couldn't understand about the realm of Spirit and the other body we have, a spiritual body, which is not one of flesh (2 Cor.5).

1 Peter 3 and 1 Peter 4 reveals that The Gospel was preached also to the 'dead', so they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Per Matthew 10:28, Jesus said don't fear those who can kill our body (flesh), and NOT our soul. That means our soul continues back to God WITH CONSCIOUSNESS. And per Eccl.12:5-7 our spirit goes back to God also, and that means both spirit and soul are together, and from the heavenly realm of Spirit, and not from flesh.

The BODY TYPE of the resurrection according to Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15 is to a "spiritual body", not to a new flesh body raised from the ground.

And the story Jesus told about the Lazarus and the rich man involves a real description of how the heavenly Paradise is laid out. God's Abode is in Heaven, so is Satan's pit prison.

Satan tempted Eve (Genesis chapter 3), so I would think Satan and his angels have been here ever since.

King Saul was tormented by an evil spirit (1Samuel 16:14).

Evil spirits are fallen angels, cast down to earth with Satan (

It's in the BOOK.

Satan and his angels appear before God's Throne in the Book of Job, which was long after his original fall.

But carnal minded folks just keeping throwing their flesh in that showing lack of understanding God's Word about the heavenly realm and the angels.

WARNING BRETHREN IN CHRIST:

Those who keep wrongly assigning a flesh order to the angels or to demons, or to Satan are not keeping to God's written Word; things like Satan's original fall cornered his dwelling only to this earth, or even 'inside' the earth as some illiterates believe, shows lack of understanding about heavenly order beings, of which Satan and the angels and demons are.

When Satan and his angels appeared before God's Throne in Heaven, long after his original fall, his spirit was in Heaven, and likewise when he said he had been walking to and fro up and down the earth, that also was about his spirit while in the heavenly dimension walking upon the earth. He still walks up and down the earth today, but is invisible to us in this earthly dimension.

But nowhere in God's Word does it say Satan is limited to this earth only, EXCEPT when the FUTURE WAR IN HEAVEN takes place between Archangel Michael and his angels vs. Satan and his angels. When that war of Revelation 12:7 forward happens, Satan with his angels will be cast out of the heavenly dimension forever, and not allowed back in. That is why that Rev.12 Scripture says he will no more accuse us day and night before God's Throne. And that is SOLID Biblical evidence that the casting down of Rev.12:7 forward was NOT about his original fall.

These UAP's more and more people are seeing today, are inter-dimensional vehicles of that heavenly realm. Lord Jesus said there would signs in the heavens at the end of this world, and that is obviously to prove to those in the flesh that the heavenly dimension really does exist, and is behind an invisible veil that we cannot see with our flesh eyes. The world today is being conditioned to experience the coming of those inter-dimensional vehicles into our earthly dimension in our literal presence, with Satan and his angels coming with them.

Satan's workers here on earth want us to think of those as being about aliens, and have even fooled the Catholic pope into believing they could be aliens. God's Word reveals they are not aliens, but angels from that other dimension. Oh, but you don't believe angels really exist? Then you don't yet know what true reality it is that you are living in, but you will know, in our very near future when Satan and his angels arrive here in our earthly dimension, in plain sight, and no more behind the invisible veil of the heavenly dimension.
