God blessed Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number;
From the beginning, Adam and Eve will be fruitful in terms of children.

Genesis 3:

20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
All humans will come from her. Some years later, Cain killed Abel.

Genesis 4:

25 Adam made love to his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, “God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him.”
Genesis 5:

3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth.
Cain and Abel were born before Year 130. Given that they were fruitful, it was likely that other children were born during this pre-Seth century as well.

After Cain murdered Abel, God declared Cain to be a fugitive. Cain responded in Genesis 4:

14 "Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”
Who was Cain worried about?

His close relatives.

Genesis 4:

16 So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden. 17 Cain made love to his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch.
Cain married one of the females born in the last one hundred years or so. She could be his sister, niece, or grandniece. Cain likely married his sister. In any case, Cain could not have married any of his cousins because they didn't exist. Cain didn't have any grandparents.

Paul affirmed in Acts 17:

26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place.

Cain like all his brothers would have married a sister, so following his murder of Able he would have been afraid of vengeance from one of his brothers or nephews.

Adam and Eve’s and their offspring (Genesis 5:4) were very close to human perfection; therefore, children of such marriages evidently did not pose the health risks as may be today.

Later, God’s Law to the Israelites did not permit the marriage of a fleshly brother, sister and other various relatives.-Leviticus 18:9, 17, 24 Since mankind was then so close to human perfection, such a marriage evidently did not pose the health risks that may imperil the offspring of such a union today.

That's the only way to propogate the human race from just two people. So, before the flood, there seemed to be no prohibition on marrying full-blooded siblings. After the flood, during the time of the patriarchs, it was reduced to marrying only half-sisters. And by the time of Moses, it was outlawed completely.

There's something called genetic entropy. Over time, mutations in the DNA will occur. If two people have the same genetic mutation, it will be amplified in their offspring. That's why it's taboo for close relatives to have relationships. But we can surmise that Adam and Eve had pure genes, free from any defects. Their offspring would likely have had perfect or near-perfect genes for several generations also. Combined with their unusually long lifespans, they could propogate the human race fairly quickly.
