Ray used to do the washing up but can't any more because his he has no feeling in his hands. Those hand used to make all sorts of models for his railway but can't even was the pots now. So sad, but I still have him with me and his mind/brain still works well.

When you say models for his railway, do you mean mini train station replicas? I used to see them at malls, especially near Christmastime.

Yes, he built quite a large model railway in our loft and made model houses, shops, hotels, factories etc for it. All very fiddly made from cardboard and paper. before that he used to do model engineering, making model traction engines. All he can do now is watch TV or read. I pray everyday that he will be content because he was always so active. But he's still my lad.

Never ever try to change your partner. You fell in love with them just as they were so you need to continue to love them warts and all. And there definitely can be a few of those on both sides.

I'm past overthinking about who or what I shall be. Way back I got so con=fused over my role, my place, my persona etc. So now I just ask God to let me be the best Me that I can be. No need to stress out over pleasing other people, no need to stress out about if I'm wearing the right sort of clothes, no need to stress out or worry about how I spend my time. I am in Christ. I stand on the Rock. He is the only one who has the right to convict me and He is the only one who can change those things in me that need changing. He is my Rock, He is my Fortress. I am a new creation but He has not yet finished with me.
