Shalom,Scripture references are from, the SET (Stone Edition Tanach) or the CJB (Complete Jewish Bible) for the OTand the PNT (Power New Testament) for the NT unless otherwise specified.16:6. And they went through the regions of Phrygia and Galatia because they had been prevented by the Holy Spirit from speaking the Word of God in Asia: 7. and when they came down to Mysia they were trying to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not let them: 8. and after they went through Mysia they went down to Troas. 9. And during the night a vision was seen by Paul, a man of Macedonia who was standing and urging him and saying, “You must now come over into Macedonia and help us right away.” 10. And when he saw in the vision, we immediately left to go out into Macedonia because we concluded that God had called us to evangelize them."Been There, Done That!"Have you ever stopped to consider this passage as it pertains to your life in The CHRIST?How often do you think events happen in your life where YHVH restricts you from doing something, from saying something? How often is it simply because it is not time, HIS time?Have you ever had someone tell you that so-n-so has accepted The CHRIST, the same so-n-so that for years you have been trying to get to even come to services with you but they continually refused? We call this timing. YHVH calls it being led by The SPIRIT.This is what Paul and Timothy were learning! They were learning what it means to be a child of YHVH. They were learning that to simply say, "I accept Y'SHUA as my Savior means very little to nothing unless one also surrenders their entire life to serving YHVH. They were learning what it means to be CHRIST-like.In many assemblies today it seems that it is more important to always appear to be meek, humble (by some external measure), sweet or kind, to say "YHVH willing" all the time or "In my humble opinion." Paul was anything but meek, sweet or kind. He did not going around always saying, "YHVH willing" or "In my humble opinion." He was not even humble (by some external measure), he had been humbled from within. He had surrendered his "SELF", his will to do whatever YHVH directed him to do. He could honestly proclaim alongside Y'SHUA that...Jn 5:19. Therefore Jesus was answering and was saying to them, “Most assuredly I say to you, the Son is not able to do anything by Himself except what He would see the Father doing: for whatever that One would do, then the Son likewise does these things. ...and...Jn 5:30. “I am not able to do anything by Myself: I judge just as I hear, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My will but the will of the One Who sent Me.Through the process of learning to hear the voice and to discern the voice of YHVH from all of the other voices in this world and especially from his own. This is the biggest hurdle that most CHRISTians ever face! - Their "SELF"!Paul had manipulated, contrived, conceived and placed himself on the Damascus road all along proclaiming that he was, "only doing the will of YHVH."Have you ever been slapped across the face with that wet fish?YHVH was not directing Paul's every move. He was not telling him to pick up his foot and put it down there. Then pick up the other foot and place it over there. YHVH was not telling him when to go to the grocery store or the bathroom and yet HE could. HE could and HE would, "IF", if there was an encounter of value to YHVH awaiting.Jn 4:6. And the well of Jacob was there. Now, since Jesus had grown weary from the journey, He was sitting upon the well: it was about the sixth hour. 4:7. A Samaritan woman came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “You must give Me something to drink:Have you ever been pressured to street witness in a bold and aggressive way? I have! Probably if the truth be told I have even pressured others to do so. Sometimes that is necessary just to get people off of their pews. For others that is necessary to help one find his niche in ministry. Yet for most it is simply a tool to lead one to start listening to the voice of YHVH. It may be your burning bush or your voice calling in the night but it is the first tool, the first approach in the ministry. Ananias had this apprehension when YHVH told him that he was to go to meet Saul/Paul. Peter experienced this apprehension when he was told to go to the Gentiles. It was through these barriers YHVH was able to use these men in the ministry that HE had prepared for them and was preparing them for. It is through the normal barriers where YHVH is also trying to take you! To get you there however often HE first must stop you! HE must train you to listen to HIS voice. This is what HE was doing with Paul and Timothy.Think not that Y'SHUA was not continually fighting this battle as well...Lk 22:42. saying, “Father, if You are willing You must now take this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Yours must continually be doneJust as Paul and Timothy were learning to hear and then obey YHVH, Y'SHUA too had to keep His focus on the voice and thus the will of YHVH and not to let the little foxes creep into His life and spoil the vines, the plans of YHVH. He too had to learn to obey the voice of YHVH...
r 5:8. although He was a Son, He learned obedience from that which He suffered,Who are you listening to?Rom 6:16. Do you not know that you are slaves to whom you submit? You are in submission to whom you present yourselves as servants, either to sin, which leads into death, or to righteousness. To whom are you yielded?Who is leading whom?
