Let's be clear. The Angel in Dan. 12:4 & 9 DEMANDS that the prophecies are for the end time. So for all those who believe the lies of the commentators asserting ~200BC fulfillment -- they LIED. Believe the Angel, don't believe the liars.

So in Daniel 11 we find ourselves at Verse 40 according to simple world history:

Dan. 11:40 “At the time of the end the king of the south shall attack him; but the king of the north shall rush upon him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall come into countries and shall overflow and pass through. 41 He shall come into the glorious land. And tens of thousands shall fall, but these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the main part of the Ammonites. 42 He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43 He shall become ruler of the treasures of gold and of silver, and all the precious things of Egypt; and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall follow in his train.

... and anyone with perception should realize that the "king of the south" is the UK/United States (which is "south" of Russia), and the "king of the north" is Russia (which is "north" of the UK/US, and attacks Israel).

But the question is, Who is the "him": "... the king of the south shall attack him ..."?

Given world geo-politics, some might expect that the "him" is Syria. Others might guess that the U.S. will have some type of confrontation with Iran. And yet others might have a thousand other candidates, -- including Venezuela, now in the news.

And given some top former and current government official's interest in launching a U.S. military effort against Venezuela, it's important to not only perceive the times and the events, but also the participants.

Personally I'm in the Syria camp, as it seems to tie the logistical advantage of Russia, Iran, Sudan (one half of ancient Ethiopia), Lybia, and of course Israel, -- with the U.S. suffering logistical support for a comprehensive engagement due to the distance.

Stay tuned ...

The "HIM" is the a/c ruling in Jerusalem. Vs. 21 begins his story.

Lies, all lies. But that's what happens when you ignore the Angel's instructions:

Dan. 12:4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.

... and remember -- there are consequences for these lies:

James 3:1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, for you know that we who teach shall be judged with greater strictness.

Rev. 22:18 I warn every one who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if any one adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,

To All,

Please be aware that the events depicted in Daniel 11:40 - 44 are paralleled in Ezekiel 38 & 39.

“And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.” (Daniel 11:40) (KJV 1900)
