satan rules the world, but he is restrained in his actions. One day the restrainer will be removed for a short time.

1 John 5
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

Mercy triumphs over judgment, we are not appointed unto wrath but to procuring of salvation (1Th 5:9). As long as grace and faith and mercy are flowing from the throne, and the channel of that being the Body of Christ, there can come no judgment upon the earth. They are two different operations of God, and they do not co-mingle. The ones elected are always protected or removed from the scene. Ambassadors of God and Christ have passed out of judgment into life, and will never suffer the war of God on earth to come. As long as there is light in the world, as long as the Lord continues to grow His complement of the nations, there can be no judgment on the earth, they are not compatible. Once the Body of Christ is raised, quickened, and transformed into the image of the Son of God, and removed from the earth, then judgment can proceed. Grace and judgment are opposites, they do not go hand in hand, no matter what theology or scripture twisting men will do. It is a violation of His righteousness and mercy, to impose any kind of co-sharing of His judgment of the nations and Israel while the Body of Christ is here on earth. To believe otherwise is to not know the Father. We are that which detains the appearance of the lawless one of 2Th 2:8.

The power of life and death is in the tongue and when Jesus rose he took captivity captive so what power does that infidel have if he's been put under our feet? my heals might be bruised but his head is crushed. wake up quit looking at the world for we are not of it ,our weapons are mighty through christ to the pulling down not us falling down

I do not know. It could be the Holy Spirit, some put forward that it is the Angel Gabriel. However the identification of the restrainer is not something that i need to know to believe the Scriptures that reveal a restrainer is at work. It is consolation enough to know that the future is in Gods hands and His eternal plan cannot be undermined. :)

If there is anything such as a restrainer, it would be Yeshua: (Ephesians 1:22) , but the restraint shall be lifted for 7 years (Rev. 13:7)

Judd, why do you say we have no freedom?

Do you preach because you like to preach? do you stop sinning because you don't like to sin? would you do all these if there was no hell or heaven? Are we humans free? I will say we are free if after following our heart desires nothing happens to us. I mean disobedience with no consequences.

Judd, you truly are free to do whatever you want. You can eat McDonalds everyday for breakfast lunch and dinner if you want, but that would end up being a slow suicide (as proven by that documentary guy). You can quit your job spend all your money traveling, but then you'd end up unemplyed and eventually poor. You can do anything you want!

However, we have a loving Father who want's to protect us from bad decisions, habits and lifestyles. He wants to set limits so that we don't go astray and fall into dire situations. As a father myself, i put all sorts of limitations on my daughter so that she be as healthy, happy, safe, secure, educated, etc. as possible; not to take away her liberties.

I don't really know what this has to do with the question as to whom rules the world ?

But as to your questions:

Do you preach because you like to preach?

Primaraly i preach because i love God and He told me to give the message to others. Secondly i preach because i love other people and want all to accept the atonement of the messiah Jesus. heaven and hell have nothing to do with it for me.

do you stop sinning because you don't like to sin?

i don't believe anyone can stop sinning while being in this current carnal faulty state, But again we should resist sin to the best of our ability out of love for the will of God on the issue of sin.

The Lord God Almighty is ruler of this world.

Evil does not happen faster than good. It's dark works are revealed SUDDENLY by the light and thus the illusion of speed is born.

Most of the time curses fall on deaf ears or upon the hearts of those who choose to ignor them or deny them. 'Sticks and stones' sort of thing.

Occasionally a curse will get you a black eye and I'll admit to that being pretty fast.

Well, Satan is the prince of this world... or world system.

I agree with your assessment.

A prince may rule, but he is not King.

Satanic authority has been obtained by treachery, deceit, and murder.
All of it stolen. None of it legitimate.

Authority by proxy of sin.

It was therefore necessary for the Son of God to come and shed the light of truth upon this foul situation.
To pay the price of sin and separate us from it, thereby denying the dark prince its power.

Satan has no power where there is no sin.

To finally separate the dark prince from its influence and remove it from its illegally obtained domain.

To yield the peaceful fruit of righeousness and fellowship which God always intended for US and for HIS WORLD.

why is it that evil happens faster than good? HUH? Curse affects faster than blessings fall. WHAT?

Whoa, speak for yourself - that is not my experience at ALL!
I mean that.

If you believe that, then you will get more of what you believe.
Simply put.

"Do you preach because you like to preach? Yes.

do you stop sinning because you don't like to sin? Yes.

would you do all these if there was no hell or heaven? Yes. (I don't believe in hell, btw. And my life is pretty darned close to a heaven :) )

Are we humans free? Yes.

I will say we are free if after following our heart desires nothing happens to us. My heart's desire is pretty pure - thanks to a renewed mind and the Grace of God.

I mean disobedience with no consequences. Who said there are no consequences - the Law of Cause and Effect was brilliiantly set up in the creation by the Genius of Geniuses - I don't go to work for a week I get fired - that's a cause and effect consequence."

Life is pretty simple.

Thank you, Judd.

Disobedience with no consequences...I am reminded again of my youngest son who always had problems with authority, and still does apparently but not as much as when he was younger. A few years ago, he made a statement to me that almost brought me to tears. He said he was sorry for giving me such a hard time but that he didn't understand then, when he was a teenager, that I was showing love to him through discipline. He said I was a very good mother, that he couldn't ask for a better mother.
Being a parent, I can understand the love we have for our children. My oldest son told me that he didn't understand how much I loved him till he had his own children. And I know that my children didn't obey me out of fear but love because they love me.
Our heavenly Father loves us, too, and he disciplines us because he loves us. He loves us more than we could ever love our own children. We obey him because we love him and not out of fear.
Prov. 3:11 My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, 12 because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

Original question: who rules the world...
I think the Law of Cause and Effect, now.

Secondary ques from op - why does it seem to have so much bad stuff? (evil happens faster than good.)
Again Law of Cause and Effect.

Different day, different response.
