I'm not interested in dealing with your very apparent bias of the Democrats and their record on social reform. My OP was clear.

Funny how an apparently pleasant fellow can reveal his true stripes when confronted with his enemy.

I must have hit a really raw nerve to get this kind of vehement response.

All you've done here is spew vitriolic anti liberal hatred and not anything of substance or use.

YOU responded to my OP. If you can't stand the heat then stay OUT of the kitchen.

I don't think "heat" is the right word. More like stench from a garbage dump.

<<All you've done here is spew vitriolic anti liberal hatred and not anything of substance or use.>>

Did or did not Obama say, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."?
Did or did he not say, "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."?

He did say both. He was either lying or he didn't know what he was talking about and spoke anyway.

That's not "anti-liberal, hatred or vitriol. Those are facts.

If you want to look at bias just look at the title you gave the thread.

"Why do the Repuclicans have such a hate on for universal healthcare in America?"
YOUR opening question is based on a lie that arises from your hatred of your "enemies" the RePUBlicans.

So clean up you own act before you go insulting other people and accusing them of doing what your thread was specifica;ly and intentionally designed to do.

Your not fooling anyone with a 3-digit IQ.

NOT the issue despite your attempts to deflect to it. I'm not discussing what Obama did or didn't say so your attempt to interject your apparent disdain/hatred into this thread is your short coming, not mine.
I don't hate republicans, I was asking a question which you obviously slanted to your own paranoid POV.
The link I quoted depicted my question and addressed the poll question. Your typical anti government rhetoric from your own unbalanced political idealogue is now the issue that I as a Canadian, encounter all the time. Deny it all you want but it is a reality in your country, not mine. The only insulting going on now is by you, but not surprising in the least given your obvious allegiance.
I'm not trying to fool anyone but I guess only those who think they are superior would raise the issue of a person's IQ. Another typical response by people of your ilk.

It would be humourous if there was a real difference between the two parties.

But there is none. Same creature, just one has spots the other stripes.

And no one in the US knows what a real liberal, socialist or communist looks like when they call Obama anything other than a right leaning moderate.

The man would have been an Eisenhower republican if this was 1957.

I met a Democrat this past weekend that hates Universal Healthcare as it is known in America. I don't think this is a You vs Us or Repubs vs Dems kind of thing.

He experienced Obamacare and dropped it and is now paying for private healthcare insurance. Also, I remember that the Dems were decrying the fact that 40 million people were without healthcare and "we must by all means get them healthcare". When Obama's UH was passed, where were these 40 million? They certainly did not rush to sign up.

Of course not. That would require you t address the facts.

You didn't start this thread to discuss facts.

You started this thread to discuss how evil, hateful, vile, a wicked those Republicans are.

You're in the wrong forum.

That belongs in a Democrat forum.

In a Christian forum, it is inappropriate to start a thread for the express purpose of discussing how nasty "those" people are.

It's because that is NOT the OP. If you want to blast Obama start a thread and see how far you get.

when did you get these mind reading powers?

What is clearly inappropriate are your vehement comments about the President of your own country and your obvious disdain for the Democratic party he represents.

Oh, like the thread you started to blast Republicans?

Can you not see the hypocrisy of accusing me of "blasting Obama" when you invited all to join you in blasting Republicans?

Your comments have also been vehement and divisive.

I think its unhealthy for Christians to be so invested in these worldly political issues that it leads to heated disputes between brothers.

<Moderator hat on>
To all involved, please refrain from the personal attacks or insults.

Regardless of what the OP may say about Republican hatred for UH and the bias that implies, it isn't a profitable discussion. Please focus on disputing the facts concerning the ACA and Obamacare or UH in general.

Really? Where?

I agree, but calling me or what I posted a lie, doesn't really help to keep things calm.

Sorry, I don't see anything I said as being vehement or divisive in my reply, but feel free to PM me with what you think was.
I admit it was hard, but it was in response to his comments, which had already become inflammatory.

Stan, Jim is absolutely right. You'd have to be blind not to see your real agenda is a divisive one. Come to think of it, that seems to be your modis operandi in many threads.

But, let's just say you are being altruistic (and I am being very generous as you well know), this article explains some reasons why UH hasn't succeeded in America.

http://jayreding.com/archives/2008/01/30/why-universal-health-care-keeps-failing/

But, you can find these links very easily which brings me back to what everyone is asking. Why did you really create this thread and what is your real agenda? But, you have answered that question for us, already.

Excuse me while I vomit. You give new meaning to being disingenuous.

I can see your inability to concede in others threads will now blind you to anything I post. Sadly this is exactly what Jim started doing and you apparently are willing to follow his bad example. Just like kids in a school yard.

You continue to be insulting to those who hold an opinion which is in opposition to yours.

You continue to do what you accuse others of doing.

In fact, you initiated the thread designed to engage people in insulting and demeaning Republicans.

IS this a Christian forum or not?

Initiating a thread that is an open invitation to insult and mock others, as you have done, is NOT a Christian behavior.

Neither is insulting people who bring your attention to the hypocrisy of your action.

Please put a sock in it.

I initiated the thread yes. I did NOT initiate the inflammatory and ad hominem attacks. YOU and others did.

I think if you actually read all the comments, you would see that only people with your mindset have reacted.
The key would be to STOP reacting like your post I'm addressing does.

Calling someone a hypocrite is easy and always or mostly used by those that are failing to prove their side of the issue, or are far to personally involved by identifying with the issue.

Refuting false assertions is NOT an insult except maybe to the person doing the asserting, which is not MY problem.

Yeh that's a real Christ like statement. I'm tempted to reciprocate but one of us has to be the adult here.

I just got home and was in the process of closing it.

It seems no one but Stan is willing to follow my requests.
