A supervisor used to ask the low performers if their problem was their "skill or will" meaning, are they in need of further skill training, or is it that they just don't care?
Over 60 percent of "Christian" men admit they view pornography...one wonders how many of the remaining 40 percent were simply not honest enough to admit to a struggle.
"More than conquerors" has somehow been twisted to mean "defeated but excused" instead of what it truly means - "invincible by the power of the indwelling Christ to meet and overcome every temptation" - it is time to stop fooling ourselves. There's no such thing as being dead to the old ways while continuing to practice them. Satan is not holding a gun to our heads forcing us to do evil, nor are we left without grace and help and power and ability to resist Satan when he comes dangling his temptations.
To the Christian world, the question of whether overcoming has to do with "skill or will" is as stupid as it is insulting to God: skill has nothing to do with overcoming temptation, for while we haven't the slightest ability, Jesus is "a very present help in time of need" providing all the skill necessary...it is and always has been a matter of the will.
Hell is going to be split wide open by "Christians" who sway with raised hands in church every week because their will is to not repent. We are "more than conquerors" and it's high time we men start acting like it, and start leading women and children in the way of righteousness, not only for our own sakes, but for the sake of a dying world.
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid."
