Isn't it true the record of the sins of the forgiven polluted the earthly sanctuary year round, making necessary the cleansing of it - and wasn't the earthly patterned after the Heavenly?
So then, Hebrews 9 says at this moment, right now, while every Christian is fully forgiven and heavenbound, the record of forgiven sin is polluting the Heavenly Sanctuary - read it for yourself.
Therefore, just as the blood of the Lord's Goat cleansed the earthly sanctuary by transferring the record of sin - not the penalty of sin previously paid by all those lambs - from it to the doomed Scapegoat --- so the "better sacrifices" of the gold of Jesus' blood and the silver of His tears will "purify" the Heavenly Sanctuary by transferring the record of sin - not the penalty of sin previously paid by the Lamb - from it onto doomed Satan.
Before anyone rushes to indignantly reply "Jesus, not Satan, bore the penalty for our sins!" - you're right! It's impossible for Satan to bear a penalty that's already been paid! That's not what I said!
I said just as the doomed Scapegoat bore the record of sin cleansed from the earthly sanctuary, so doomed Satan will bear the record of sin cleansed from the Heavenly sanctuary, as well.
