    God is not a respecter of persons: Romans 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

    It was the miracles that Jesus did that caused many to believe.

    Let's look at this entire chapter...Romans 9
    I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

    2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

    3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

    4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

    5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

    6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

    7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

    8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

    9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.

    10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

    11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

    12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

    13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

    14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

    15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

    16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

    17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

    18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

    19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

    20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

    21Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

    22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

    23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

    24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

    25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

    26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

    27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

    28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

    29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

    30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

    31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

    32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

    33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

    So when you read the entire chapter it changes the context and intent of the single scripture you quoted. This is why single verse sermons are so dangerous to the body of Christ. One scripture without the support of the entirety of its teaching can be misapplied as you have done....and you applied it to forgiveness of sins when it is clearly teaching us that God is the one who shows mercy to whom He will and hardens the hearts of others for His purpose. Paul is addressing the Israel people that are still under the law, seeking righteousness through works and not of faith.

    Yeah...already been told multiple times this has everything to do with Israel and is not to others. Lost it there in that thread, sure it will be the same here. What is clear is God said the mercy given the Gentiles would be the same mercy given to those blinded of his flesh
    Romans 11:31-33 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. [32] For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. [33] O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

    he hasn’t forgotten those kin born according to the flesh and not of the promised seed...should we? There is the promise, that which is born after the Spirit. And those kin, according to and born after the flesh. Does He forget either in “all stand before Him and will bow and confess Him as Lord.”?

    The word says persecution cometh upon ALL people...these vessels of destruction and wrath are all around us as are vessels of mercy and grace...which we gladly accept it possible to be a vessel of Mercy but discount that whole passage in Romans on the difference of the vessels and why and how it is so. God said He would take The Word to the ends of the earth. So it is and has always been: Colossians 1:15-20 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: [16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. [18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. [19] For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; [20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

    What is seen in Israel? There was the seed of the promise...the Spiritual. And those that were after and of the flesh, still “kin” but not of the promise ...in “not all are Israel but those of the promise”. which begins the passages you posted on Paul’s great heaviness for Israelites according to the flesh...that he wished he could be accursed from Jesus Christ for those kin according to the flesh. Jesus Christ had brethren and a mother and father and forsook all; when He declared those who do the Will of The Father were His brethren and Mother. Those of Israel after the flesh warred against those after the Spirit, after the promise. The word says it would happen in every home ...this persecution for His namesake: even within our bodies; that which is according to the flesh, born after the flesh...warring with that born after the Spirit of God.

    Luke 21:16-17 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. [17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

    As those blinded God said “for my namesake” have I blinded them to reconcile the World unto Himself. No one has a problem with saying Christ does not forget or forsake those kin according to the flesh but has a plan for All. why would God bring persecution and destruction (those vessels of destruction) that trodden His sanctuary under foot...and say happy is the one persecuted “for my namesake”...and it doesn’t even apply to all but is a respecter of persons?

    Those according to the flesh...
    those according to the promised seed...all I’m proposing is that through the promised seed, the Spirit of God ...God has reconciled all things unto Himself and has left NOTHING that is not put under Him. Did Christ forsake his kin born according to the flesh? He asks for the forsaking of Kin according to that which is born after the flesh ...in every home in, in all the earth in giving men the Power to become the Sons of God ...clearly seen in that which is born after the flesh persecutes that which is born after the Spirit...working in ALL peoples and nations everywhere: even in the body and members. Nothing left that is not put under Him and His authority and rule. It is said so often “context” ...what about context with the whole of the garment of the Living Word of God...how does it line up with who God is in “He is long-suffering of the vessels built for destruction” that He might make know “His Mercy” upon those vessels afore prepared for Mercy. Not willing that any perish but ALL come to knowledge of God. Are you a vessel of Mercy? Have you come into contact with vessels of wrath and destruction? Why put what has gone out to ALL the ends of the earth back within a box and say “stay in context of Romans” rather than “stay in context with who God is.”?

    He gives them the Power to become the Sons of God...Who is He? What does the Son of God look like? The OP here does very well at describing why He was born into the World and maybe why God gives Power to become the Sons of God in now “I send them”: The obedience test for Jesus’ sign of commitment

    Ann Beattie and Harriet Evans both wrote separate books with that title, but I don't think Bob Goff did.

    [4] And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: [5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

    James 3:15-17 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. [16] For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. [17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

    [26] And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: [27] And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
