How’s the little Duckling doing?
The first three days were extremely hard. And harder, because we had our WiFi disconnected and got rid of the TV at the same time. So tantrums were strong.
So between candida detox, eliminating sugar, wheat, processed foods, removing wifi, with someone on the spectrum who doesn't like change, it was a loud and stressful time and we have all been reading a lot of books.
I prayed for a miracle from God show me this was working and worth the change on Day 4.
Day 4, Little Duck started cleaning. Picking up things around the house and insisting on a clean room. Singing "I'm young and healthy," while carrying water bottles to her room. Insisted on a full, organized bedtime routine. Ate all veggies at dinner time. (Years ago that would have been impossible, but we worked SUPER hard on that.)
While sentence formation hasn't had much change, if any, and I can't expect it at Day 4 with a Gestalt learner, communication is better and I got good eye contact, a few short focused conversations, and Little Duck was able to tell me things that happened earlier in the day.
We are on Day 5 now, and I think the diet is affecting me as well- unintentionally. I slept the whole night, woke up with no fatigue, and no inflammation.
