One of the most debatable verses in the word of God: I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Matthew 7:22-24 KJV
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
"I never knew you"
"Knew" As in an intimate way. Genesis 4:1 "And Adam knew Eve..." in an intimate way. I never knew you meaning: My Spirit is not there. My Spirit does not inhabit you. My Spirit has...
Matthew 18:18,19 - "Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth
shall have been bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."
I have read diff explanations but I still don't get what it means, exactly.
WILL MAHER FINALLY SLAM LOUIS C.K.?
On his HBO show last Friday, Bill Maher showed what a coward he is by refusing to slam his pervert buddy, Louis C.K. Instead, he made a vicious attack on the Holy Family, prompting us to start a petition asking for justice. To sign it, click here.
AL FRANKEN SHOULD RESIGN
Senator Al Franken should resign immediately. There is no place in public office for sexual abusers.
If Franken were an accused priest, he would be forced to step aside, pending an investigation. Given that he is an admitted molester, he should resign.
The priest reference is particularly poignant given...
It's time to stop focusing on the end and start focusing on the now.
"...Historically, it has been the Christian community that has been the most enamored with the apocalypse, and a long line of religious leaders have proclaimed the importance of recognizing that the end is coming. That end is, after all, alluded to over and over in the Bible, from the Old Testament to the New. Early Christians believed that Christ would return within their lifetimes, and that prediction has been revised over and over ever since.
So why the obsession? For many Christians, it comes down to concern. “The urgency was that the Rapture could happen at any time,” says San Francisco-based church information manager, Melisa Blankenship. For some, the feeling...
Is there any truth to the “partial Rapture” theory? Will only the “good” Christians be raptured, and those who still sin be left behind? Does our being included in the Rapture depend on how close we are to God or the works we have achieved for Him? Will we, as a true Christian, be left behind if we haven’t always obeyed Him and remained in His will?
These are heavy questions that many Christians worry about. Those who are in the world don’t worry about the Rapture because they don’t believe in it anyway. It is all foolishness to them. However, the pre-Tribulation Rapture is very real, and it will take place right on time. When will that be? When God the Father sends His Son to collect His bride (the true Church), He will come, just as...
How much does the Lord God value those who listen to His Voice?
Consider that there was no one nothing to respond to Lord God’s Voice for a eternity before heaven and earth was made.
I don’t know if any of you know solitude but it begins as a calming thing and then it eats at you. If any poor soul happens to be within your range you talk to be heard whether that person cares to hear or not, sometimes blurting out unsolicited information about yourself or your experiences, almost a form of crying out, or outcry.
So just how valuable is what would respond to the Voice of the Lord according to His Judgement to His satisfaction?
Faith of Christ is endowed with Power (not our faith, Christ’s) so much so that Jesus Christ can’t be deceived by His expectations, or denied the fulfillment of His expectations. Faith is an acknowledgement in power, is it not? Even Jesus Christ acknowledges the Father who is in Heaven that all His works were done by the power of the Father. And He said that no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the “Son of man” which is in heaven, and also states that the Father is in Heaven but yet He is in the Father, and the Father is in Him. Hence there is no blindness to His Faith acknowledging the Power He knows oh so well. Faith isn’t blind, there’s no faith in what is not known, or experienced.
