John 14:30 - "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, (He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me)."
Scripture teaches us that we must be satisfied with the consequences of our words (Proverbs 18:21), and if we are going to be, then we need to be very careful what we say! Our words have consequences, and we need to use them wisely. Jesus knew that He was approaching a very important time in His life and He was determined not to give Satan any power over Him through unwise words.

Father, help me be quiet when I am in danger of saying things that I will regret later on. Teach me to think before I speak!
