We are not harnessed to our flaws and weaknesses; rather, in spirit-to-Spirit fusion we are united to the resurrection power of Heaven! Since all our sins are forgiven and we are always in right standing with God, our mission is to die to the self-life we have previously cloaked ourselves in, thereby embracing the ascended Life in Christ as we become passionate about helping others become effective in advancing His Kingdom.
The only thing that can stop us is ourselves.—through lack of fully understanding our power, authority, and dominion under the new covenant (Our Christ Identity), and lack of consecration.
When four men brought a paralytic to Jesus, they found that the house was full.
"And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. - Mark 2:4
How easily they could have become discouraged and simply chalked it up as "It must not have been God's will." But instead they persevered and broke through the roof. That is what we must do when we pray.
BREAK THROUGH!
Of course you will feel heavy opposition and resistance, but God will help you to break through. Jesus didn't rebuke them for tearing a hole in the roof. He saw their faith! Then He forgave the man of his sins and healed him. God will help you to break through. PRESS IN!
When we catch a glimpse of this new identity we have in Jesus Christ, we see sin to be the boring, useless, and stupid thing it really is and we turn more easily away from it. This other side has to do with the rich inheritance that we share in with Jesus Christ as co-heirs (see Romans 8:17; Ephesians 1:7, 11).
We need to spend much more time confessing, not our sins, but who we are in Christ according to the teachings of the apostles. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful" (Hebrews 10:23).
