Don't Deviate From Your Course
My old pastor once gave us an analogy about naval ships during wartime and how they sometimes encountered fog. Past experience had taught them not to impulsively veer off or change course but rather sail through till they got to the other side. This strategy saved a lot of unnecessary disasters at sea...
The Lord reminded me of this story again as I prepare for some challenges ahead. As Christians, we can be a little impulsive sometimes and want to just jump into anything that seems to be "of God" or take a direction that we had not thought through very well.
I will never forget my pastor's lesson in church that morning because it has always helped me stay steady in unforeseen circumstances. If you do not know what direction to take, "don't change directions." Keep going forward until you get through to the other side and can see clearly or until God opens a door. Glory!
