2 John 1:5-6
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us.

Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
2 John 1:5-6 NASB1995
Thoughts: To be perfected in love is not to fear, but to abide in God. It really sounds simple, but it took me a long time to figure out how to do that. I have His spirit within me. According to 2 Timothy 1:7, that is a Spirit also of power, love, and a sound mind. I have been reminded through these scriptures that love is POWERFUL. I can use it as a weapon whenever fear comes. I can use praise to drive fear away. The enemy is just a chihuaha gumming at my ankle. Lol. ^_^ Because I have the God of the universe who loves me. So yes, I will keep His commandments and can love others as He loves.
