I am joyful with gladness in Your presence and will sing and praise Your power. (Psalm 21:6,13)

Be exalted, O Lord, In Your strength, and in your salvation how greatly I rejoice! (Psalm 21:1,13)

I will not be shaken because I trust in the lovingkindness of the Lord and his willingness to bless me. (Psalm 21:6,7)

The Lord rescues me, delivers me, and delights in me because I am committed to Him. (Psalm 22:8)

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. (Psalm 23:1)

He takes me to His purpose for my life, he leads me to refreshing living water flowing from within me. (Psalm 23:2)

He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised. (Psalm 23:3)

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are in me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. (Psalm 23:5)

Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in you, O Lord, forever. (Psalm 23:6)

Why pray the Psalm scriptures out loud?

It is hard to think about something other than what you are talking about. Praying out loud the scriptures solves the problem of the wandering mind. -- spoken words speak to the soul and have the power of raising thoughts in the soul. The Psalm scriptures speak of God in the Highest manner which most fully expresses the power and presence of God.

Strong's definition for "meditate" - HAGAH (Greek) - means to imagine. First, pray the scripture out loud -- then pray the scripture back to God. This prayer can be the prayer of thanksgiving, supplication, or praying the greatness of God and the benefits of God.

The first thing that you are to do when you are upon your knees, is to shut your eyes, and with a short silence let your soul place itself in the presence of God.

When you direct any of your petitions to Jesus let it be: thou art the radiance of thy Father's glory. Thou art the Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end of all things: Thou has destroyed the power of the devil and hast overcome death.
