Continued from previous post.

We will now examine some more scriptures, which show a differentiation between the judgment of the world and that of the Church, and as to when they take place.

In Acts 17:31 it was stated that "…God… hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained

Who is that man whom the LORD has appointed to judge the world?

Let us allow the scriptures to answer this question

In Acts the 10th Chapter verse 42 we read that the same man that God anointed in verse 38 (Jesus of Nazareth) was also “ordained by God to be Judge of the living and of the dead.”

For the Father judges no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the SonJohn 5:22

In this scripture the Greek for “judges” is “Krino” to distinguish, decide, try, whereas the word “judgment” is the Greek “Krisis” a decision for or against, thus we understand from this scripture that the Father will not make any decision on any ones individual case, but has committed that decision to His son, at the appointed time.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ.” Gal 3:16

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Gal 3:29

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one member’s one of another.” Rom 12:5

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” 1 Cor 12:27

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is (THE) Christ (“the Anointed”).1 Cor 12:12

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?1 Cor 6:2

The following scriptures show that the faithful over comers of the Gospel Age, the Church, will sit with their Lord in judgment of the world.

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.Matt 19:28

But when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels (the saints) with him, then shall he sit on the throne of his gloryMatt 25:31

When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” Col 3:4

He that overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me in my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father in his throne.” Rev 3:21

A trial can in no case proceed until the judge is on the bench and the court is in session at the appointed time
.

…Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands (myriads) of his holy ones (in the Greek, hagios”,"Saints")…Jude 14

(The number “Ten” represents completion, thus the Church complete.)

to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness …Jude 15

So now we have it direct from the scriptures that, “that man whom he hath ordained” to judge the world is to be the Christ, head and body.

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign (to rule, judge) with him a thousand years.” Rev 20:6

Now using the God given ability, of which the Lord has given us, (the ability to reason), logic dictates the necessity that the Church must have their trial, “krisis”, prior to that of the world, for who is he who is fit to judge his brother accept he who has already pass his own test.

For in that He Himself has suffered, being tested, He is able to aid those who are (presently being) tried.” Heb 2:18

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who was in all points tried as we are, yet without sin.” Heb 4:15

As Christ was touched with a feeling of the infirmities with which we have to contend, so we also must be touched with the feeling of the world's Infirmities. Thus is shown that the character of “that man”, the Judge, is a sufficient guarantee that the judgment will be just and merciful, and with due consideration for the infirmities of all.

He (the Christ, Head and body) shall judge the world in righteousness, he (the Christ, Head and body) shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.” Psa 9:8

In our next post we will take a look at the nature of the judgement befalling mankind.
