Continuing from our previous post we return to our question, what will be the nature of the judgment, which shall befall mankind?

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their WORKS." Rev 20: 11, 12

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Eccl 12:14

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.” Gal 6:7

Both
of these last two scriptures not only apply now, but they shall also apply to mankind in the millennial age, the time for the judgment of the world.

As for the first scripture Rev 20:11 and 12the great white throne judgment” that judgment will be conducted by “him that sits on that throne”, the Christ, Head and Body, “…the man, whom the Lord has ordained…” as for “the dead”, these are those who are still in their sins, having not yet been justified, i.e. the remainder of the world.

The purpose of this judgment is not only to convict men of their sins, but it is also to help mankind to rid themselves of those sins, and to return to them all that was lost because of the fall, (Acts 3:19-21), to make them right, justified, thus to establish justice and righteousness throughout the earth, So it becomes apparent that the very ones being judged are to be blessed by that judgment. (Gen 22:18)

The trial or “krisis” of the world will be alone similar lines as that, which the Church has experienced, in that it is an individual trial.

In those days (the time of the judgment of the world) they shall say no more, the fathers (Adam) have eaten a sour grape (sinned), and the children’s (all of Adam’s children) teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity; every man that eats the soul grape, (sins), his teeth shall be set on edge.” Jer 31:29, 30

“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sins, it shall die...Ezek 18:4

The soul (the individual) that sins, it shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him, But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of his transgressions that he hath committed shall be remembered against him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? Says the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?” Ezek 18:20-23

“For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies says the Lord Jehovah: wherefore turn yourselves, and live.” Ezek 18:32

We now see by the word of God that every individual shall be given an individual trial in which the final decision on their right to life will be based upon their own individual conduct and effort, and no longer on their “fathers” (Adam). In our next post we will examine what will be the requirements of this judgment.

We will be taking another look at Rev 20:12 likewise.
