WALKING IN THE SPIRIT - 8 (OF 18)

  • Welcome to Christian Forums, a Christian Forum that recognizes that all Christians are a work in progress.

You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
James 1:6-7 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord.

Walking in doubt, questioning that you have received is walking in the flesh.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

It is not bad behavior God is trying to correct, it is our thinking that God is trying to correct. When we think like God wants us to think we receive life and peace.

Matthew 26:40-41 And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour? Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.

He did not say the devil is your problem; He said the flesh is your problem.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places.
Ephesians 2:6 And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Our position with Jesus is seated with him in heavenly places!

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

When it comes to things of God the spirit is always in a position of willingness; the flesh is always in a position of unwillingness.

The Flesh – Our unwillingness to adapt to God’s way of thinking and God’s way of looking at things.
