What manner of saying is this?

John 7:32-36 is a favorite.

[32] The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. [33] Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. [34] Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me : and where I am, thither ye cannot come. [35] Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? [36] What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me : and where I am, thither ye cannot come?

“yet a little while am I with you, and then I go to Him that sent me. You shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, there you cannot come.” The Lord’s words pertaining to His death and resurrection ...yet the Jews response is astonishing if not prophetic “where is he going that we can’t find him?” ... “will he go to the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?”

Will he go and teach the Gentiles? Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

“where is he going that we can’t find him? Will he go to the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?” Where did He go? Did He not go to teach the Gentiles? Maybe not as they thought as a man, but as Spirit. 1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
