When are the Last Days an Christ's return
We are told:
Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come
We are told to watch but what are we to watch for ?
Today we watch for the signs of the season.
We are told in Matthew just before we are told no man knoweth the hour/day ,
that this season is a generation. Verily I say unto you, This generation .....shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
This entire generation/ season then is to be watched for the signs.
This season/generation is also known as the last days or latter times.
When ever, we read these words we are to know its speaking of the season/generation of his coming being spoken of.
Scripture to my knowledge,...never refers to the last days/latter times, or time of the end for any other time period but this generation.
Not the last 2000 years..... but this specific period of time "generation".
A generation in scripture has periods ranging from 40 years to 120 years. (see Psalm 90:10 )
Never is a generation 2000 years or 1000's of years ...called a generation
As a bible student if one doesn't understand the terminology for that specific time period given,
one can fall prey to words of men, saying that already happened in some past type.
Do not believe it. .. The last days, latter times are speaking of the generation/season spoken in Matthew parable ...
Further the hidden riddle in the parable of Matthew is that the specific time period connects to literal rebirth of the
Nation state of Israel ...this is not spiritual but literal after 1900 years God will again work in / through his favorite place on earth
the nation of Israel itself. Israel the Nation then becomes the barometer of the timing of the generation/season.

This is the generation/season Matthew is speaking of to watch for the signs of his coming.
Now we are told we will never know the hour or the day....however in addition to season/ generation, last days, end times, God has given us other divisions of time, during this generation ...
"The tribulation " tells us of time and events to occur during the very last years of that same generation/season ...
And he even tells us the events just days ahead of his coming at the end of the tribulation.
Rev. 11:15, Matthew 24:29 an Rev 10:7 all tell us of Christ's second coming at the 7th trump.
But what are we watch before just before that day an hour?
The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 who will have 1260 days (same as 42 months or 3.5 years).
Rev 11:3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. (this is same beast of the 5th trump and the same beast as Rev 13)
8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
This is Jerusalem. It was just outside the city gates our lord was crucified, its spiritually called Sodom and Egypt because Antichrist has been ruling from there for 1260 days.
9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.
For three and half days the dead bodies will lie unburied in the street/square...
While all those who follow the beast/antichrist party and celebrate and send gifts, glad to be rid of these two witness of God.
b]10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
When we see these witness killed and left dead in the street ....We can be assured Christ's second coming is imminent ..he will not return before this and he wont tarry long after this.
After 3 1/2 days God will give them life call them to him and there is a great earthquake
11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.
12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.
13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell.
15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

However for the purpose of understanding last days ..when he will come, watch for the clue of the death of these two witness's.
