You mean some real men of God who are called to this?
Sexual abuse is a terrible thing.
I went through a time of grieving over not being able to help people like Liz Crokin and you.
As I'm led by the Spirit of God, I do what He leads me to do.
I also have a heart for those who have been ravaged by things that creep in the night.
If you think that by my non-participation in your crusade that I'm a brier, well...
We are all pieces in God's puzzle and need to fit where we were made to fit.
Myself, I believe that if we all practiced Luke 9:23, there would be less for you to do.
But, putting God first, is of utmost importance to me. :)
I don't have a crusade, brother. It is simply what God by His Holy Spirit compels me to do... speak my testimony, raise awareness, and defend and support others who have suffered.

As faith without works is dead, so we must act, and be moved into action. That is why I am so passionate about these subjects. I know what it's like to suffer, and if at all possible, I want to help alleviate the sufferings of others by doing what I believe God has led me to do.

Agreed. I don't know how any Christian let alone any sane reasonable human being can condone all of this. Christian rape? That's the biggest oxymoron I ever saw.

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad someone was there at that moment for you, @April_Rose!

Yeah, and I was bullied for the stupidest reasons too. I was ugly, fat, and retarded according to them because of my learning disabilities. I was even mocked for my name and they called me a fat and stupid old ape. It wasn't until I got older that I realized that they were the ones with a problem and not me.

@April_Rose : There was not much about my life that would be considering me to have been through a lot of abuse myself.

My situation became from just living and making choices freely in life. And it took a lot time for me to ever have found God. So a lot my life was spent living with my mother. Guess me and her never really seen eye to eye. So it was always a fight with her a lot growing up; because we just never seen things the same way. So those days probably had a lot of impact of me on my few abusive outburst with my girlfriends. Which were mainly mental abuses - only one time did pick up girlfriend up and sling her on the couch (was mad over something stupid) - young and stupid choices. ; - treating them poorly - not a very good boyfriend - same thing happened with friends, was not a very good friend.

So that is a bit of the negatives of early life; and definitely did not have any guidance when it came to anything spiritual which related to God as much as the past 5 years, which there has been a great change in my behaviour which is all credit and thanks be do to God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I also love this song because we truly are all the same in the eyes of God. :) Oh and I also have come to realize that I'm a lot smarter than a lot of people have given me credit for over the years. :D People just don't seem to realize how much verbal abuse has an affect on that people, so I case in that situation I was abused because verbal abuse can hurt an awful lot too. :(

Amen. You just made me think of this song and that there is still hope for all of the other abusers out there too if they repent and seek forgiveness. :) Because of all of my verbal abuse and bullying I'm not proud to say but I became a bully myself. However, later on I came to realize that two wrong's didn't make a right and I repented and asked Jesus into my heart as well. :)

I am so sorry!! I would've been your friend. I wish parents and teachers would teach children how to love. Instead, we see children obviously reflecting what they're seeing being modeled to them.

When my middle daughter was in junior high, she came home and told me there was a black girl who was being singled out and teased ...not only by classmates, but by a teacher. She was being teased about her hair ...and certain racial slurs. My daughter was also teased (being called a "barbie doll" ...not in a polite way, but sexually slanted comments). I went to the school and made a complaint about these students and teacher. Nothing was done to my knowledge. I wish I had done more. :( I pray the girl is okay today and doing well. That was about 8 years ago.

Thank you for the song, April. May you continue to grow in knowing God and the Lord Jesus Christ and be reminded that each and every person here is most assuredly loved by God.

Thanks be to God and the Lord Jesus Christ for helping people see the light ; through others by Christ living with-in other believers. Allowing His light to shine, through the darkness.

Oh yeah,.. I was called stupid by my math teacher as well you just reminded me about that. That's not as bad as what this teacher did, but they're both sickening situations and thanks,.. I found friends and became a lot more popular by other special needs and bullied children like me when I told my bullies to go screw themselves and I didn't care anymore because all it was was a bunch of lies and their words had absolutely no effect on me anymore whatsoever!!! :D

Oh and the bullying got so bad that the police were called when I was in elementary school. Some kids threatened to throw me out into traffic. These were the same kids that were probably friends with the boys who threw rocks at me whenever I rode my bike. :(

Christ always came to defense of women...example set...period.
His statement regarding the little ones and the milestone, may not be addressing abuse...it is my belief.
Do not tolerate it....period.

Although I don't completely understand what you're saying I agree with you one hundred percent that Jesus wouldn't tolerate it, so we shouldn't either. Bystanders are just as bad if not worse than the actual abusers in my mind and I'm pretty sure that they can also be held criminally responsible for it as well.

If you read through the Gospels every time women were being condemned or threatened, Christ came to their defense.
The girl that was accused of adultery....the prostitute that was washing Christ feet with her hair.

then the milestone....
Matthew 18:6
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

I watched this last week... it may help those who have been abusers to know there is forgiveness and redemption through Christ.

Agreed. It's just like both speakers were just talking about,.. no matter who you are or what gender you are, by not speaking up you aren't solving the problem you're only making it worse. Thank you for bringing up @TLHJAK though, because I forget her whole entire story, but she experienced this in real life as well as @Amazed@grace and the question on my mind right now is why do these things happen? I have not experienced this for myself luckily but when a man, woman, or child is being raped and or sexually harassed my question has always been why. I know that God has allowed the human race to have free will,.. but these are the times my faith is questioned and I start doubting where He is as I've personally known people that this has happened to I'm sad to say. :(
In my view the motive in both rape and sexual harassment, even via PM's, private harassment, no witnesses as would occur if the same was posted on the PF, public forum, is control bolstered by malignant narcissism. And of course a depraved mind indifferent to the feelings of others.

Sex is secondary in that it is the weapon that imparts control over the survivor.

It may help this subject of rape and sex harassment to note men are also victims of these offenses.
I know, men can be raped?
Yes. They can and have been.

Why does this evil exist in the world? Because the world is in the power of the evil one. Who roams too and fro upon its surface, seeking souls to devour as if he were a hungry lion.

And it makes sense, yes? There are followers of Jesus, and there are followers of Satan.
We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Those who commit rape are mentally infirm. There is a disconnect in their brain, their moral center.

Those who commit to sexual harassment are like unto rapists. Save they do not use the weapon of their physical sex to assault their intended victims.

Rather, they achieve satisfaction in expressing their desires and feelings toward their victim of choice in writing. Imagining that person should feel flattered at the attention paid them.

This is why they laugh in response to being informed their attentions make that person uncomfortable.
The victim's feelings are inconsequential to the selfish motives and drive of the offender.

Don't try to understand those type of depraved personalities. It would mean we're close to thinking as they do.
:(

At least that's how I see it.
