I know this is a random question to ask,.. but it is a pretty big thing in my Rock God stories that I've been sharing with @Grailhunter. DJ is a modernized version of God in human form who is absolutely one hundred percent crazy about his teenaged "son" (in quotation marks because he is his son by creation standards) and he is always seen comforting him, hugging him, cuddling him, and kissing him (not on the lips obviously though as that would be a tad bit weird in my mind) whenever he gets upset or sometimes just because he loves him that he shows affection.

I was curious what the men on here actually thought about this as the kid in this story never objects and he lost his biological father so that's a lot of the reason why he actually accepts and likes DJ's love and affection. I have joked with @Grailhunter before that I could see God babying us for real like that because His love for us is basically as much as I write coming out of DJ in the stories. :)

So what do you guys think? Is there any men on here who still do this sort of thing with their grown or teenaged sons? I actually sort of think that it's sweet as a father's love for their child lasts forever, so why not continue to show it as long as there are no objections from the son. :)

It is not a common custom in the states but over seas and in the middle east men kiss on the cheeks and hug as a greeting. Kissing on mouth...less common.

Nothing wrong with a Son giving his Dad a kiss or a hug regardless what age you are.

When I was 8yo I lived with another family for a month or two and the family's dad would kiss me good night, a really nice bloke and his wife could really cook well, I loved living with them out in the bush.

One should greet who you love with a hug and a Kiss.

Yes they should. And grown sons should kiss their fathers.

Yes, that's why I already stated that I found that kind of weird (and it might sort of look like they're gay to an unknowing person) but it's funny how when a grown woman kisses or is kissed by her father nobody questions it,.. but what does gender have to do with showing love to your child? Even if they're not a little kid anymore they will always be your child and you can bet that Jesus showers all of His sons with love and affection once He welcomes them home after they welcome Him into their hearts. :)

Yes a kiss (short abrupt contact) can be a hand shake or punch in the arm. Kiss the son of God or die

Psalm 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Affection between parents and offspring is perfectly fine...but still the customs are different here and there.
