I have to say I am not surprised, as my experience of the Methodist church in the UK is one that is very loving and caring but which does not know where it is going or what its purpose is.

As. Teenager I joined the Methodist church, the induction classes used Methodist hymn books to explain the principals for membership instead of a Bible.
I became a Christian because of my destructive critism of the sermons I heard, then and at the occasional visits to Methodist churches the sermons would talk about Jesus, of his love and even of the cross.

They never said clearly why Jesus died on the cross or mentioned his resurrection.

Any church that avoids sin, Jesus' death on the cross for that sin and of his resurrection does not know what it's purpose is and has lost its way.


Hopefully this is not true of your church.

As eve was the mother of all the living in the first creation, gen 3:20 so Mary is the mother of all those who live in Christ and the new creation!
