Most of the appearance is assumption, as all they found were a partial skull, tail, shoulder, and femur. To assume colors and other features ...is mainly imagination. lol
True. I would have liked them to imagine prettier colors.

Dinosaur claws have been found fresh in certain parts of the world, as if the dinosaur was ate by another predator:Archaeologists Find 3,300-Year-Old Claw Of A Bird That Went Extinct 700 Years Ago, And People Say 2020 Is Not The Right Year To Clone It

Yeah they are, for some reason I'm remembering Jurassic Park and the Brontosaurus in there.
I was picturing the same thing.
The baby Raptors in the follow up movie were cute too. It's when they grew up that cute was supplanted by terrifying.
Yes it's two things that sell in movies now days. It used to be story line, but now it's just two different types of stories. Which I won't get into cause it's off topic, let me pull up the Brontosaurus scene:
