what if an atheist told you he dosent belive in God

The proof is to be in your heart. You cannot transfer that proof to someone else simply because you want to do so.
What you need to do when and if you meet such a person is to pray that God will open his heart to see what God is offering. If your prayer is sincere and you are righteous before God He will accomplish much in the unbeliever allowing him to see more clearly...but even seeing he may decide against God. Why? The why is simply that people too often love their fun and their own selfish ways too much to considering giving them up for any reason.

On what basis do you believe God isn't real?
We could have a fruitful conversation about whatever the atheist brought up.
Even my most clever arguments have their limit, though. I want to move to working with demonstration of power and and the Spirit.

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

I would be more shocked to hear an atheist tell me that he DOES believe in God. :)
How hard would you argue with someone that told you that they believe that the Earth is flat?
That’s how hard I would argue with a fool that says there is no God.
Atheist: “I don’t BELIEVE in your imaginary god.”
My response: “OK, you are entitled to be wrong. Be sure to tell Him when you see Him.”

The Devil himself believes in God and so do many so called Christians but they do not abide in the Vine in fact.
So the Atheist is just a poor deluded fool. such a one is under delusions and the one who even may claim to believe may be open to the fact of God as the Devil himself is, but just does not abide in the Vine.

Well I started opening the book of my bible and it started talking about the timeframe in "B.C." (stands for 'before Christ') and "A.C." (stands for in Latin, 'anno domini' = in the year of the Lord, so that's what I've talked about to people right from the start like beginning w/ something like 'you'll see in history they have... ' Next is prayer.

Since I don't read anything in Scripture about atheists, other than God calling them fools, I wouldn't do anything.
Or just tell them God says they're fools.
Or maybe not if they are bigger than me...
