cannot God just whisper to people to do basic universal income

What is God's purpose for mankind? Do you suppose that it is for our flesh to be always comfortable during our allotted time on planet Earth?
Aye, God is omnipotent, but He also has a purpose for mankind which is indeed complex. We can only understand what He shows us. He has not shown it all to me, but it is by faith in Him that I live rather than by knowledge.
God said that you have the poor with you always. His Apostle Paul said if you don't work, you shouldn't eat. God doesn't contradict Himself, so He's not going to promote free rides paid for by the labor of the obedient. Christians are called to charitable works, but such works are acts of free will, not government legislation.
