Realistically speaking, socialism happening in America is a far-fetched idea because our ideals are founded on free-markets. So we could discuss theoretically what could happen, if it happens but it has never happened and it won’t. I think extreme words are thrown around in the media from both sides but our system has not fallen under socialism nor it will be. I think these extreme words rile up the vulnerable causing them to do things they normally wouldn’t.
yea, thing is, in the US and most any society that has capitalism in it is there's no interest nor investment of time energy and means unless there's money in it. and politically both sides are at this time throwing you know what against the wall, to see what sticks. its SOP.
see now is the time to influence voters and the like, not when they are aware they are being influenced during elections.
back in the day the dem's used to represent the working class (unions and the like hence the Kennedy ties with mob like) in the US and the rep's the corporate interests. today if you notice the dem's are hot on health care for your own good, but that's because the insurance companies are backing them thanks to the Clintons. it was easy, corporations as a whole don't like insurance because insurance has become like taxes that they have to pay. in the US you can't do a thing without it being insured, and it has to be done in the interest of it not coasting the insurance companies.
when it comes to profits in insurance they make oil look like paupers.
so if i was a socialist country out to take down the US i would invest in insurance and media until they had to do what i wanted them to.
