Well the topic of the opening post is:

God changed Seventh Day Sabbath Worship to First Day of the Week

I don't see Saturday in the title.

HUGS
But I believe, from the title, that it is inferred Saturday used to be the seventh day sabbath worship.

I'm still waiting for someone to show me where God or Jesus says Saturday is the last day of the week.
Hmmmm, and I’m waiting for God or Jesus to tell me that cleaning my teeth twice a day is a good idea.... hmmm, still wondering because so far no one has shown me from the bible that it’s true.

Do you think I should give up cleaning my teeth on that basis Bob?

What was the last thing God created on the sixth day?

The church = Eve

God did not leave man alone. He gave him an helpmeet for him.
A helper.
Us.

And then God rested on the seventh Day.

We're supposed to be HELPING..

Hugs
You’re drawing a long bow here Zig Zag.....I s’pose if we can do that it can be morphed into anything.

You're living in your own 'mind', which definitely isn't in The Word of God. Next time you throw 'bs' out like that, how about providing Scripture to back up what you're saying? That junk you wrote above sure cannot be backed up in God's Word.

Brethren - the above is what professional slanderers do. They bear all sorts of false witness with no Scripture support for their arguments at all. And what is really amazing, is they think someone with enough sense to study God's Word for oneself is going to waste time listening to those types!
I would say slanderers put other people down by casting the worst light on them, by being quick to accuse and by misrepresenting intent.

Isa 9:17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Peace:

You are wrong. The Colossians 2:16 word for 'sabbaths' is 'sabbaton', which means God's sabbath, the 7th day of the week (or per the Hebrew reckoning, Friday sunset to Saturday sunset).

Col 2:16
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

The word "days" is actually not in the Greek text. It's in italics in my 1611 KJV Bible.

I am right. I have always said the Colossians 2:16 word, 'Sabba'tohn' is for "The Weekly Sabbath Day".

The Colossians 2:16 word is not 'sabbaton' the Hebrew word. It is 'Sabba'tohn' which means God's Seventh Day Sabbath Day OF THE WEEK per the NT CHRISTIAN reckoning, Friday sunset to Saturday sunset.
So even agreeing we have to disagree júst because it cannot be MY way. Pity.

Colossians 2:16
Your way:
16 Let no man therefore judge you
The Written Way:
16 Do not you let yourselves be judged by anyone of the world

Your way:
in meat, or in drink,
The Written Way:
in your eating AND drinking

Your way:
or in respect of an holy day [NON-existent]
The Written Way:
or your eating and drinking in respect of whether

Your way:
or of the new [non-existent] moon [non-existent], or of the sabbath days [Dative non-existent]:
The Written Way:
of month's or of Weekly Sabbath's Feast.

Your way:
The word "days" is actually not in the Greek text. It's in italics

The Written Way:
The word "days" Plural as well as Singular is actually IN, PART OF, the Greek word 'Sabba'tohn'; it's not in italics. <in italics> says it's not there per se.

Where in the Bible does the Lord say the Jews identify the weekly cycle accurately?
It's very much a historical fact, even men like Napoleon Bonaparte and Karl Barth acknowledged.

Personally i take it as an insult, the suggestion my God the God of the Bible and of my Saviour God Himself, would say and do so much about the Seventh Day Sabbath-rest Day OF THE LORD GOD, but wouldn't care less how confused He left me and every believer in Him, in the lurch concerning which day in human existence, His Holy Day is. God is not that stupid and careless and neither am I or any People of God. He is the Almighty and therefore there cannot be doubt which day of and in our lives BELONGS TO HIM FOR US. Or who wants to tell me our God is against us to the complete confusion of everyone of his own?! Skei uit met julle donkievyekonfyt godsdiens!

If he needed to, God would tell you to clean your teeth twice a day.

God didn't change it though,

I just need someone to tell me where God or Jesus tell us that Saturday is the last day of the week.
as opposed to the 8th day being the first day?
If the senth day is the last day, then where does the 8th day come from?

It's because the Hebrew calendar works by numbers not by names.
And was based on moon worship.. (this could get interesting) lol

Egypt worshipped RA the Sun God right?
Rome took up the pagan traditions of Egypt.

Something about the sun going dark and the moon turning to blood...
It's the calendar..

thinking out loud

And how do you know this?
I don't find in the New Testament the word Sabbath being called the first day of the week.
Where in the Old Testament the seventh day is explicitely called the Sabbath.

Having said that,
I believe the Sabbath is a DAY that is made up of many generations. Like a Day is as a thousand years.
And the Hebrews were given the Sabbath as sign of what would come at the end of the generations.
A time when all the world will be quiet.
A time for the earth to enjoy her sabbaths.

I say her, because the bible says her.. i'm not a feminist.. just saying..

I was thinking this morning about who benefitted the most from the sabbath.
And I thought about the oxen and the bulls and maybe even camels, whatever they had for labour animals.
And at the end of 6 days they were put out to pasture to graze and to rest.
Because I believe God has mercy on all his creation.

I like pondering things, some call it meditating, I call it thinking..
And I try mostly to use my heart instead of my head.
I want to know what God was thinking and what He was feeling.
Because the more I know about His heart, the more mine can transition into something just like it.
Mercy, Forgiveness, Grace, right judgement, etc..

Why did God give man His Sabbath?
Not so much what we do with it, but why in the first place?
Because he loved us, and the world is cold and harsh and he knows this.
So he provided a santuary, a refuge, where we could come away from the cares of the world
and rest with him. And the animals too.
For God so loved the world.. that's His creation.. all 6 days of it.
That he gave His only begooten Son, (now metaphorically speaking I can see this Son, as the Day he created to rest in.
That God was IN Christ reconciling the world unto himself..
And this Day/Son is God's Day/Son which is the first and the last..

I suppose it depends on how deep one wants to dig into the mystery of the Kingdom of God.
Jesus explained the Kingdom of God in I don't know how many parables.
You can look at it from a lot of different angles.
But you always come up with the same results.

God is Love.
And everything He does comes from Love.
And everything He gives comes from Love.
And all He asks for is Love in return.

Is that too much to ask for?
Maybe, the world has a hard time putting away their weapons and finding peace at the table.
The love of many shall wax cold.
Only thing will melt it is the fire of God.

just thinking..
Hugs

I think many miss the purpose of the Sabbath. Remember this:

[27] And he said to them, "The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath;
[28] so the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath." Mark 2:27-28 RSV

We need a day of rest each week. If your boss has you working Saturday and Sunday, then get your day of rest on Monday, or Tuesday, or whenever you can.

Remember what Jesus said:

[27] And he said to them, "The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath;
[28] so the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath." Mark 2:27-28 RSV

I think people fail to understand the purpose of the sabbath. It is to give us a day of rest each week. So get a day of rest each week. I think insisting that day be Saturday is crossing the line into legalism. It works out well that some people work on Saturday and others on Sunday, to keep our hospitals, police, and firefighters running at full capacity. And if my boss makes me work Saturday and Sunday, I can get my rest on Monday.
