Give ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech. Does He who plows for sowing plow continually? Does He continually open and harrow His ground? When He had leveled its surface, does He not scatter dill, sow cummin, and put wheat in rows and barley in it's proper place, and spelt as the border? For he is instructed aright; his god teaches him. Dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge, nor is a cart wheel rolled over cummin; but dill is beaten out with a stick, and cummin with a rod. Does one crush bread grain? No, he does not thresh it forever; when He drives His cart wheel over it with His horses, He does not crush it. This also comes from The Lord of host; He is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.

Thank You for this.
So my thoughts are on the plowing and the sowing of the grass and the herbs, the barley and the wheat, the dill and the cumin.
But more on a scale of whom God uses to plow and to thresh different nations, that need plowing and threshing.
The Lord also sets boundaries as to whose floor nations can come and thresh on.
In the case of the King of Assyria, The Lord has used him to overcome different nations. They are called grass and herbs as reference.
But when the King of Assyria challenges Israel, Isaiah prays to the Lord to spare them.
And this is what the Lord says:
Chapter 19 tells the story.

Isaiah 28 details the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in my heart. Is this what you are talking about? The threshing floor is my heart. I remember when I saw the Chief Cornerstone (Yeshua) fly into my right side. After a suicide attempt with morphine that should've killed ten men (I'm not joking), I was at the, "5 Days Of Healing" seminar at Jacob's Well. I was so relieved. It was 11:59 A.M. Tuesday, March 14, 2000. The Spirit had earlier departed the temple (me) and for 3 painful and horrifying weeks, I didn't know where my Lord was. Dr. Thompson, on video, had just read the "See, I lay in Zion a tested stone" verse, Isaiah 28:16, and I broke down sobbing, I was so relieved. Then the video ended and it was lunchtime. A staff member walked by me, patted me on the shoulder and said, "What just happened to you was a good thing. Everything's going to be okay now." 2 more staff members walked by and said similar things. It was the hardest, scariest, and most supernatural week of my life. God matured me 5 years in 5 days.
I've never discussed this with anybody before. Talk about a remember when.
Thank You for sharing
:)

I like your version better.

But I was thinking about how God uses nations or a nation to plow the garden we call earth.
Nations in the sense of grass being trodden under foot. War.
And this nation Assyria was being used as a plow against all these other nations they mowed down.
And this plow comes to the border of God's chosen "garden" Israel and like the boundaries of the seas, God tells them they can come this far and no more.
And when the Lord was finished plowing the field, he sent that plow home for a permanent retirement from that King.

The King of Assyria rode forth conquering and to conquer. And was sent home with his tail between his legs.

God has a plan.
I'm not exactly sure who the target is though, who is the or are they the plow (s) .
I see this last power on earth as the King of Assyria coming face to face with God in the final battle.
Where is God today? Where are his people?
Are we in one place or are we still scattered around the world?
I'm looking for the feast of ingathering...
when is that?

The "three times" are three general periods during which God's holy days fall. Passover and Unleavened Bread occur in early spring, the "Feast of Harvest" in late spring, and the "Feast of Ingathering" in the fall. Earl L. Henn (1934-1997)

in the fall...

Is Feast of Harvest and Pentecost the same? If so, already Firstfruits was in Acts.
Where is Feast of Ingathering and the Feast of Trumpets? Tabernacles? they close together?

It's all about gardening.. And we are in the garden.
And yes, the garden is also in our hearts.
Cleaning the inside and the outside of the cup.

Who will be the King of Assyria?
This would be anti-christ.
coming to tear up the garden.
That's the chaos we see in the world.
They will come to a place where they can go no further,
and this the bible calls armegheddon.
The Valley of Decision.
Choose this day...
TODAY..

long day. I made sure not to fall asleep or take a nap.
I'm just rambling..

It's all connected :)

Inside each of us individually and outwardly in the world around us.
I believe God puts words in our mouths to share with eachother.. for edification.
And I found what you wrote edifying.

It was such a freaky time. That week was like He pulled back the corner of what we call reality and showed me what was really going on. And the staff were in on it! That was 20 years ago. They are still going.
They were there to help the Toronto Blessing - Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. No one knows it...I was at a 5 day retreat and overheard them talking about it. They really don't like publicity, except so people who need their ministry can know about them. They are very humble people. Very special ministry. I thank God for them. :)

@Ziggy: Reminds me of Genesis 8.22: :)

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

first earth... passed away.. death
new earth..
reminds me of being born again..

The seasons of our lives.

seed must die (old) , so that grain can grow (new)
cold heart of wax (old) , burning heart (new)
summer tares (old) , winter wheat (new)
Judgement (old) and Mercy. (new)

thinking..
