Only a mortal being could do that, because an immortal cannot die.

Jesus has a God even in heaven....does one part of God worship his equal self?
I’ll leave you to think about that.....

It is truly shameful when a person argues against a position they have blatantly not studied. As for these two claims (which no one who has even read a single treatise on the Trinity, even a few paragraphs of exposition, would claim even if they disagreed with the Trinity) the answer is simple:

1) Assumed a nature which can die, death being the separation of soul and body.
2) The Persons of the Trinity are not "parts" of God, and One Person is not the "self" of another Person any more than I am not you.

There is nothing to think about, these questions aren't deep.

Disciples of Christ = EXCELLENT = so am i. But you are not imparting truth - you are arguing against it.
What if it’s you who is arguing against it? What if, like in every case in scripture...the majority have it wrong and God reveals his truth to a hated but faithful minority? (John 15:18-21)

How many did Jesus say are on “the road to life”? (Matthew 7:13-14)

The Lord has not, and will not permit you to see it unless you submit your heart and soul unto Him.

Thus says the Lord:
“Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the Lord.
“But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word."

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12....speaking of the anti-Christ.....(a composite “man” rather than a individual)
This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.” (NLT)

Do the deceived know that they are being deceived? They do....but only after it is too late. :(

What if the "hated minority" is different than the one you promote? :)

What if it’s not? What other minority teaches the truth of God’s word and are hated because they beg to differ from the majority...those who teach no trinity.....no immortal soul....no hellfire.....no involvement in politics or it’s conflicts and bloodshed....no participating in pagan festivals dressed up as Christian celebrations.....not having a paid clergy class who are all taught the same lies in their institutions of religious education....all speaking in agreement.....not tolerating sexual immorality in any form....and all of whom are following the command of Jesus Christ to preach about his Kingdom in all the inhabited earth...?

Show me who these people are? Please....

@Aunty Jane to me to see Jesus was to see the Father: you used a lot of scripture to prove your point. To me Jesus is the Lord God Almighty. I should have said that instead.

Thank you for your nice thoughts and consideration as well,

I will imitate the Master by saying “it is written”...that way I cannot be led into misinterpretation by the majority who hold certain doctrines to be true.
I was raised in the Anglican Church, so I know what those doctrines are now that I have studied God’s word in its entirety. I know where they came from and why they have never belonged in Christian teachings. I have identified “Babylon the great” and have heeded God’s warning to remove myself from her. (Revelation 18:4-5)

i love His Word and it always fills me with His Love.
Did you not get the gist of 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12?.....it isn’t about how you “feel” or what you “love”, because the devil can use those emotions to lure you somewhere that Jesus would never go.

If people are happy with their deception, then they are not going to look outside of it.....are they? They are convinced that they don’t need to.....just like the Jews were convinced that they did not need to adjust their thinking and their worship in order to accept Jesus as their Messiah. Their religious leaders kept urging the people not to listen to him.

If you love the truth, you will reject that which offends the God of Jesus Christ. You will see that there are “unbelievers” even among professed Christians? How do we know this? Because Jesus told us what will become of those who “think” that they are Christians when their beliefs are anything but. (Matthew 7:21-23) If we promote doctrines that Christ never taught, then we become tools of the one who planted the “weeds” many centuries ago. All these false doctrines are not new...they go way back but, but none of them are found in the teachings of Christ and his apostles. They are carefully woven in by assumption and misinterpretation. Fake Christianity look authentic to them.

If “few” are to be saved, then what is the criteria? Why is the gate narrow, and the way cramped?
What are these “few” doing that the “many are not?

It's like you didn't even read the question. I asked if the 'hated minority' might be different than yours and, in response, you asked me to prove it by naming one that is exactly like yours? That's zany.

We all have to make our own decisions about what to accept as truth.....when we choose the road, we choose the destination. The “many” who are on the wrong road, have no idea until it comes to an abrupt dead end. These are the “goats”....the “sheep” are on a completely different road and it can be tough going to stay on it. These are the “few”.

Peace to you...

Well the only way to imitate the Lord Jesus Christ is to believe His words and since you claim to be a student of Scripture i would encourage you to start in Genesis and find out who the "Let Us who made man is Our Image according to Our Likeness".
Since you do not know who THEY are you will not be able to fully comprehend what THEY are doing in the WORD.

So you mean to tell us that you studied out the teachings you now hold as truth all by yourself, without the influence of any sophisticated organization to influence you?

i was born and raised as a Roman Catholic. I full well know about this Harlot and her idolatrous ways.

But then i was Born-Again by the Word of Truth and the Holy Spirit, where i now and forever stand.

i am not against you. God has more truth for you to see in His Word.

Since the criteria is soundly scriptural, the one that I believe is acceptable to God and his son, it would be teaching what he taught, the way he taught it....not adhering to unscriptural doctrines formulated by an apostate church hundred of years after Jesus died.

Nothing scripturally sound ever came out of Roman Catholicism.....when Jesus says “I never knew you”.....he’ll really meant it....”NEVER” means “not ever”.....he has never set foot in that disgusting place. And all who adopted their false teachings will join them in his rejection. Christendom is the “weeds” of Jesus’ parable. These have always hated anyone who dared to tell the truth and expose them as the disgraceful hypocrites that they have proven to be. Just like the Pharisees, Christendom is ruled by those who take people down a path away from God whilst promising them heaven.....it’s all lies. (Matthew 23:13-15; John 8:44; 1 John 5:19)

Well, that didn't take long. Name-calling. Very nice. Of course, it'll be excused because it's "true," and, after all, Jesus did it, right?

LOL...name calling? Well, not really, but again just telling it like it is....Jesus is the one we are to imitate.....remember? These are his teachings.

Taking it personally with all the hurt feelings? Some will no doubt I guess.....the Pharisees didn’t take too kindly to being told that they were blind guides leading the blind into the same pit that they were heading for....how many were going to fall into that pit? Only the whole nation who believed them.
Majority verses minority again....

It’s time to wake up.....it’s not too late, but I believe it will be very soon. :(

And for those who are under a delusion, no amount of truth will penetrate.
Sadly so.

You say this:
I never claimed special knowledge…..Christendom has that claim. I just go by what the scriptures plainly teach ...
Really? Then you do this:

…..be careful. Are you misinterpreting scripture again…?

It says in context…”keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; . . . .Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority before all time and now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 1:21-22,24-25 -NASB)
I do not believe that this is saying that Jesus is our God and Savior……read it again.
... you use a NASB Bible to claim that my KJV version of this scripture was worded wrong???

You've annihilated your credibility in this thread alone.
This passage clearly separates Jesus and his Father. God is our Savior “through Jesus Christ”. This isn’t saying what you want it to say……it is Jesus who was “sent” by his Father to give his life for us. The one who sent the savior is also a savior. Our God and Savior is Jehovah who saves us “through Jesus”, not because Jesus is God.
I don't have to want it to say anything and I certainly don't have to read it again. It clearly says what it says. Sorry to burst your delusional bubble.

" ... to the ONLY wise God our Savior ..."
Jude 25 KJV

You can throw your NASB in the trash. The KJV Bible has been around since 1611. Your absolute nonsense NASB version wasn't released until 1963. Very likely by the Catholic Church which was in full swing in its efforts to destroy all protestant doctrines by that time and to twist all scripture to align with its completely heretical anti-christian false doctrines with all manner of NEW versions of Bibles.

Your credibility is in shambles.

Forget everything you think you know, pick up a KJV and start from scratch.

Hello @Aunty Jane

Believe in Jesus life, death, burial and resurrection is what makes a person right with God. You are right when a person needs to decided for themselves on things seen in the Bible.

You, me, whoever is reading are all having individual relationships with God by faith in the Son of God. What one does with that is up to them.

My encouragement to anyone is to understand that God loves you, and does care about you, and does hear your prayers. Always remember that life is difficult and all have fallen short of the glory of God and it is why Jesus is needed to be made right with God and to have peace with God being justified by faith.

Thank you again for your thoughts,
With Love in Christ,
Matthew G.

Taking it personally? Hurt feelings? You flatter yourself. You don't even know what I believe. We all know why you're here and who sent you. Insult your own intelligence all you like.

Why don't we get down to brass tacks?

What must I do to be saved?
