Haha!

Thankfully not.

I'm not fond of black, makes me depressed, but if I have to choose between $28 and $16, I'm gonna go with $16 and it does the job, thank the Lord. Something told me to just look for rain boots.

I don't understand how the price changes based on color alone. Why do they do that? o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

Idk, but I'll take the deal. I'm in a flood zone.
@FluffyYellowDuck Well, black shoes, black pants, black skirts, black tattoos, black nails are popular; often regarded as the classier option.

(Subjective, but real in a lot of ppl's eyes...)

Well here is the one I got.. No idea how it works but I won't feel embarrassed carrying it on my way ... Im guessing it goes in the case? No idea.

I cant see underneath but my guess is it would be a couple screws or maybe some WD40 if it decides to be cruel to me.

I have a feeling it will be alright

I am sorry that some of you also have to do this, but I also feel better knowing I'm not the only one who has to do this.

@FluffyYellowDuck Sounds like you got it by mail order/ Online...Sometimes if you can't see the goods first of all it can be a bit risky, but in these Covid times a lot of ppl have gotten used to doing it this way, anyway....

I've got one of these too. It was my MIL's. It unrolls from the "handbag" version into the full length bag. The wheels are on a wire frame that unfolds from the bottom. When it's open, the wheels snap shut to a flat postition, then the bag is rolled up around them, then snaps shut for easy carry.

Wait, you said you already got one? Then I don't get a commission!

@marks Sounds anyway like your MIL is very handy with using hers....

Haha very cool! Sounds a lot easier. Now I'm a little excited about it. Will give my back and shoulders a huge break.

I honestly considered a baby stroller when I was first walking. Was trying to figure out what to put in it so that people wouldn't stare at the crazy lady pushing around an empty stroller in public.

Huge relief that there is always, usually a solution

Okay. Here is the deal.

If I am walking 3-5 miles round trip to get groceries, carrying 14 lbs of cat litter and another 5 pounds of litter on my back gets kind of hard. My body weight is somewhere around 100 lbs.

I've been paying attention to how other people do it, but I just noticed a lot of shopping carts left in random places but I am not going to steal the stores shopping cart.

So I found this cute thing and it looks durable to me.

This is where my anxiety kicks in, I don't care if I look weird. I care if it works and getting the job done, what I AM concerned about is going to the grocery store and someone getting mad at me or assuming I'm shoplifting or something going wrong on the road. But it also looks like it would hold up in the snow.

So I found this one, which is more of what would work for me since I can throw it over my shoulder until I'm done, but the reviews are not the best.

Sounds like the wheels aren't very good, which I can probably replace myself, but I will be upset if it breaks. Also like that it looks like I can use it for travel so if I end up having to duck out and run, I can just use that for luggage and I would have never wasted money for a short time.

Other one would be a bit big to carry on a bus or a train.

Thoughts?
Have you considered having your groceries delivered, we did this when we were quarantined, and it was great?

You know, I have and it costs an extra $15 every time for us (the stores don't deliver here) and they overcharge on everything. The prices are crazy.

BUT I was walking to the grocery store tonight and it was POURING rain and I realized "Yeah we are not prepared for this and it's cold." Realized I need to get my kid warm.

So I went the other way and got some winter stuff cause kid needed a better coat and whatnot, and standing right where they shouldn't be were a pair of perfect winter boots in my size for the same price as the ones I ordered. (Which is rare because pretty small size and it's a thrift store. So big surprise.)

So given that I canceled the whole order... And I think I'm just thinking maybe I don't need it and maybe God has a different plan.

And then came back and got kids some hot chocolate

They enjoyed that

If I had to walk that distance from my home to the store, I would have a trolley. I would choose the red one because it is covered and if it rains on the way home, my stores wouldn't get wet. The idea of filling up the supermarket trolley is good, and then you can load your own trolley after you have checked out and have the store receipt. If you are not sure about the durability of the wheels, they can be replaced with stronger ones.

I don't think that anyone with any understanding would think that you are off your trolley for having a trolley. :-)

Your 1985 remark reminds me of my brother's grandchild at age 7 pretending to take a phone call and saying "Grandad, the 1970s are on the phone and they want their hairstyle back!"

Haha! Too cute!

I don't know if I'm going to get one or not now. I might wait it out and see what happens... If I need to in the future, I can, but maybe just wait because that rain tonight was harsh.

Ooo that looks sturdy!

Do you put the groceries in it when you're shopping, too? Just wondering how people normally do things
I leave it at the foot of the ramp. I have my car so I load it right from the store carriage.
But when I get home I have a long driveway and a ramp.
So I back the car up to the ramp and load as many bags as I can fit in it, then pull it to the front door.
If it's a good day, I drag it across the threshold and into the kitchen to unpack it.
It's hard getting those wheels over the threshhold though.
I take my trash out with it too.
My dumpster is about 50 feet away so it's easier to roll it then to carry it there.

Hugs

Thanks! You know what I think I'll do is if the wheels do break off on me, I'll see if I can take the metal wheels off my Rubbermaid cart and replace them.

I have already had a bag break on me at an intersection while I was crossing. The panic was strong.

Btw, what are slots? Not sure we have those here..

I am only 34, Farouk! :p

That settles it, I'm ordering the second one now. In a different pattern. If I see spring flowers and summery patterns in the middle of winter, it will irritate me.

It will look cute enough.:D
‘ slots ‘ mean time frames ……you go on line and they give you different times for your shopping to come, when you have picked one that becomes your ‘ time slot ‘
Also when the wheels broke on the trolleys I had, sadly the metal rod that connected the wheels also broke - so the option to fit other wheels wouldn’t have worked. I liked the trolly Farouk suggested, way more sturdy x
