Ask one of the head admins @lforrest or @Angelina, we hope you change your mind, we would be sad to see you go, you can always take a break from this site though if you need one.

Hi Josho,
Thank you for your advice and your kind words, it’s much appreciated.
I think Christianity Board is a great platform with a lot of great people.
I’m just not sure this is for me. I’ll give it some more thought before/if I contact admins.
God bless!

Problematic for certain at times to stay! But... I have been on lots of forums over the years. I found lots of worse ones. The ones which initially were better diminished over time and here is where I am.

I have never quit a forum and suggest that rather than having your name removed simply try out other places you find and leave your options open here. It simplifies it then if you decide to come back.

I have probably been a member of 20 or more Christian forums in the past 20 years. A few of them have actually ceased to exist. Some others exist still but are very dead. Still others are active but I seldom even visit them because they are so often leave little or no room, I believe, for the Spirit of God to lead or direct. Lots of physical church assemblies offline like that in my community too... Help us dear Lord!

Hello, how does one delete their account on here?
May I suggest just taking a break...3, 5, 10 days ..
I used to get so angry with members and would have to take breaks and pray about it...one day I had reached a boiling point and asked to have my account deleted...then 2 weeks later I had to jump through hoops to get it reinstated because I changed my mind and really missed some of my friends here.
I made a decision when I was in an emotional crisis and I should have just took a break and spend time in prayer....
This was back when I was new to forums and it was quite a culture shock for me to see Christians act like they do on a Christian Forum.
Definitely wasn't what I expected but I have grown so much since then...so there are pluses and minuses to everything in life...turn what was meant for evil to good...:)
This may be a lesson you are going through right now....seek the Holy Spirit about it.
God Bless

Btw, nourishing and beneficial = not the things of the world and things that cause contention, but the things of the spirit and being open to learning.

Then may you "find rest for your souls."

I don’t know, I’ve been looking for the same option.
Seriously? And I was really getting to like you....
Just remember there is good and bad everywhere...but what really saddens me is the imprint you have already made with some of us here and it leaves a void in our hearts when this happens.
I do pray you will pray about it and reconsider.

@amadeus, you are not only my favorite CB member, you are also the community’s favorite CB member, no doubt. You are truly good at communicating love through your messages and it seems your patience never ceases to exist. You truly hold the fruits of the spirit - thank God for that.
I don’t think I will find a better forum/social media than CB, I just think that I become too impatient and prideful when dealing with, what I presume is trolls, that It doesn’t serve a purpose. Someone, much wiser than me, should do that. I just think I need to mature spiritually or focus on in-person discussion/talks instead.

I will pray about it..
I also like you guys, but I’m simply getting too tempted to repay evil with evil sometimes and that’s simply not ok.

@Heart2Soul Someone said, years ago, if you count slowly from 1 thru 20, and review whatever situation there is, it might seem quite different at the end of counting....

Yes...
A decision made in haste causes regret...
A famous quote:
Act in haste, repent at leisure.
This is a warning to remind us that if we make a hasty decision we will have plenty of time to mull over our mistakes.

God gave me a gift very early in life as a sincere and devout Catholic, but it was years before I would allow Him to really work on me. Even now I am still not the overcomer that God wants me to be. I strive to both work and to surrender as well as to read my Bibles carefully and closely. I had a major setback for about 10 years because I was pursuing things the wrong way... even though I was sure I was right. In 2002 God allowed to come back in... or He drew me back in. No smooth sailing after than but never again any danger that I would turn back like a dog to my own vomit or look back to evil ways like Lot's wife. I have not done that. I simply really let God do it. The man who God used to win me really to the Lord told me many years ago:

"It is hard to live for God easy; but it is easy to live for God hard"!

See my PM message to you!

Been there
@FluffyYellowDuck The trouble is also that so many people have replaced the 'marry in haste' syndrome with 'roll a condom in haste', which does not improve matters.

If the guy seems in such a hurry, it really is reasonable to expect him to wait. (I always think that prayer and Bible study are the best, proven means of birth control.)

Yes, but that's just because people are gross
