Being a Christian is all very much about reading the Bible and fellowshipping with others who read the Bible for themselves.
Christianity is NOT a lecture!
Matt 28:19 now says ho and read for your self and make you’re own doctrine?

No, of course not. You know that.
The ministries of teaching and preaching are legitimate offices and gifts given to the body of Christ.
Acts of the Apostles 17:11 says to be noble and test everything that so-called leadership tells you (Catholics are not allowed to examine or deviate from the official teaching).
1 John 2:26-27 says each individual believer has the capacity to discern if what they are being told is truth or not.
Together, as a body, believers meet together and test and discern doctrines and learn from each other - Romans 15:14.
We are NEVER to just blindly take a leader at face value and just believe what they teach us. Test and approve what is best! Philippians 1:9-10

How is making a public declaration of faith in God and the pledge of a good conscience towards God, and receiving the Spirit in power for witness and ministry meaningless?

It’s either the means of justification and regeneration and initiation into the covenant or it’s meaningless
