Because I grew up in many churches and raised to believe many things, so I have a church here- for now, this is my church, but as for myself I needed to learn for myself.

Think John the Baptist being alone with God in the wilderness, only I will never be as important. Lol

Maybe 6-7 years of loneliness in a small room mostly alone

If it interests you-

Oh I see. I’ve actually been in the same church for 25+ years so I haven’t been browsing other churches during my life.

My church is awesome amigo and I love it ! We follow the apostles and we have a direct connection to them through unchanged instructions left to us by Jesus. It’s awesome. I drink living water every day! Praise be to God! I am joyful as a kid filled with endless happiness because my church has been so wonderfully fulfilling. Praise be to God! He has blessed me with the RIGHT church. I love it. I love every minute of it!

To be in the right fellowship, to know that this is where God put you, is a beautiful thing!

Much love!

My situation is that I have been attending the same Church for 20 years, and I love it! What are other Churches doing? I don't know outside of former experience, services on TV and what I read.

That being said, I am in full agreement with what Marks said. I am sure there are awful Churches out there, and I am sure some have false doctrines that need correction. But Church bashing... I don't condone it.

I will speak my mind according to the knowledge God has given me about practices and doctrines, but I won't bash Churches and especially the overall institution or doctrine that Church (and by that I mean the assembly of physical bodies together in one place with a sense of structure and order).

For those of you who ask, "Should we follow the Church or the Bible"... My reply is that it isn't a logical question because the Church SHOULD be following the Bible! If it isn't then either it has to make adjustments or you should leave.

Second, to those of you who are following the Bible but not going to Church... Well... You aren't following the Bible yourself, so quit bashing Churches whom you say aren't following the Bible!

Because you see... The Bible says Church (the assembling as well as the personal connection of brethren) is important.

How important? Well... You might not be saved without it.

Oh yeah, we do it every time on almost every service and it’s wonderful being part in honoring and venerating the Virgin Mary and the Saints or Angels.

I went to Pentecostal, Baptist, Celtic Catholic School and Seventh Day Adventist, and then there were more.

I will go again. The only church that has interested me the past few years was when I was wore my covering - A church in southwest Missouri (literally that's what its called) and that's too far obviously.

https://youtube.com/c/OnefaithonebodyOrg

But I've taken off my covering anyway, for now, because I haven't figured out what God's plan is yet.

Maybe I'm not called to go to that type. I don't know right now.

But as for me , I do warn you my friend . cause i DO LOVE YOU . You need to cease that dangerous blasphemy .
Worship GOD and HOPE in CHRIST .

We benefit from being in each other's presence.

Much love!
That can be true, when harmony with the Holy Spirit exists between members of a church. But I've been to churches for years and it's not always the case.

But i had rather be banned for trying to help folks
Helping fokes by bashing churches doctrine is highly debatable. I noticed you're not posted verses with verse numbers to back up your claims. Just throwing a lot of comment at people. You might better make your case if you actually quoted scripture in your responses. I know @theefaith posts supporting scripture that counters a lot of your ideas.

People who don't attend church lack in communion with the holy spirit. It's actually sad. I don't always attend because of my health, and I notice the difference.

Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
Assembling with believers doesn't have to happen in a church building belonging to a 501c3 organization. We can assemble in each other's homes, on the phone, online, in a grocery store, at work ....basically anywhere.

@marks I should point out that denomination bashing is against the forum rules: Christianity Board Forum Rules

[*]Denominational Posts – Excessive posts either attempting to either push a single denomination (or group) or attacking another denomination are included in this rule.

Anybody continually bashing a denomination is going against the Christianity Board forum rules and subject to being reported. The Catholic church is considered a denomination.

So is pushing a particular church doctrine like mariology, praying to saints, worshiping angels, and such. So the forum rules are very confusing bc if we can't discuss SOUND doctrine, why are we even here? And why is this a Christian forum if rules forbid stating Biblical truth and refuting false doctrine?

But I think promoting people to not fellowship at an established church is not a good idea. People that are un-educated in doctrine from a well established church are subject to steering into bad doctrine areas.

@theefaith is pretty good but for me the best are @Marymog and @GodsGrace . They’re amazing and I’ve actually learned so much from them.
They have a fantastic knowledge of scriptures and history but most importantly they have a great communication style.

You can debate doctrine clearly.

Most of Jesus' ministry was done outside of any building. He didn't say go into the churches and synagogues to preach the gospel. He said go into the highways and the hedges. And that's what He did. He didn't compel anyone to come into the temple or synagogues. He compelled them to come and follow Him, to enter the kingdom of God through Himself. Nowhere in the Bible do we see a requirement to be part of a government recognized religious organization. We aren't required to only gather in a "church building." The church is made up of people ....not brick and mortar.
